I guess the enemies are fun guys, but they got acreminious about something? How mush room for error is there to engage them? Hopefully we'll have a spore-ting chance against their champi(gn)on.

Re: The WIP Thread
Oh hey, so you're making this sprite in Vanilla way possible? That's very impressive! And yeah, that's way more slick and nice looking.abbuw wrote:Attempting a Doom style pistol sprite. If I use all the same things the actual guys used, then it will make me as good as the actual guys!! I never really noticed before I did this, but the Doom pistol is HU-MON-GOUS, maybe the pistol uses chaingun ammo instead of viceversa. Doing the glove from scratch will be an interesting endeavor. That's all!
I like it already. Has that obscure Build Engine game thingie! Looking forward to it.giwake wrote:Here's a couple of "cinematic" screenshots of my small TC, currently untitled.

Just in case nobody else points this out: this post is genius and I feel morelly obliged to congratulate you on it. Amanita some lighthearted humor these days and I'm sure others are as well.Gez wrote:I guess the enemies are fun guys, but they got acreminious about something? Re: The WIP Thread
useless project of the week: Doom alpha 0.4/0.5 network driver. Well kinda, no actual network yet but the driver enables the buggy incomplete networking mode present and generates random player commands for each player.
It kinda sucks since the alphas don't actually unlink a moving object from their old sector and relink them to the new sector when they cross sector bounds, so the moment a player leaves their spawn sector, they become invisible. Oh well, I just wanted to know how much worked at all.

Two new thingies in the work, yo.
Enigmatic Worlds, my first go at a commercial game, with some inspiration from old Game Maker games I played that got me into doom in the first place.

And a gameplay mod side project in the works, named Improvisation. I'll just let this video explain it all:

New variant where all blood is mashed potatoes instead. You could call it "Nashed Potatoes!"Nash wrote:NashGore for potato computers? More like than you think

Re: The WIP Thread
GZAchivements.
This is an idea I've had in the back of my head since Doom 3 BFG edition was released. For the unaware, it repacked Doom 1 and 2 and came with achievements. Some really lame achievements, like "Beat Episode 1" and the Doom 2 equivalent of reaching the first text intermission. So now that I have a better handle of zscript, I'm working on a non-intrusive, compatible with other mods, achievements in ZScript and am aiming to load it up with a ton of actual fun achievements to work for.
Currently, on success, it will drop a trophy and go "Fweeeep!"
