I wonder what sounds it should make, maybe when it is fired a death metal scream is heard?

I imagine it would sound like gunfire, except with subtle weeping and screaming mixed into the soundfile.

It should just make a gun sound. Because guns are already EVIL FROM THE PIT OF HELL AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!

I'd expect it to make evil sounds when the soul-gas stuff is vented. Maybe it has some kind of charged altfire that builds up evilness, and you have to release it, or take damage from using that fire mode.

decided to add a doom hand and give it a slide action/muzzle flash

The hell-rifle looks pretty cool. I might use it for my railgun.

And what do I see? A PICKUP SPRITE! I've seen so many weapon-resources without those...

The Hell Rifle should make a DING sound when it runs out and as the gas vents you hear multiple souls screaming in a muffled manner that doesn't blow out speakers x). That or a demonic hissing sound. It's a living weapon O_O. Very very nice resources, Mike.

X Weapon uses a Heretic(?) sound for that. Fits pretty well.

So I saw this beaut in the original post,



And asked Mike about making that for brutal doom. And apparently he already did, for V13.

I finally found a link for V13, and it works perfectly in-game.

So here's the rifle if anyone wants to be saved the trouble of searching:
