It amuses me most from the perspective of wondering how many times you could recurse. Assuming a late enough DOS-based machine I wonder if you'd run out of memory or CPU performance first.Rachael wrote:While the idea is novel, people are forgetting that you can execute literally any code that will run on such a system. This is no different than running an .exe yourself.

Finally install EndeavourOS on my main PC, and rage when Latte Dock on KDE isn't working right.

Re: The Still New What Did You Last Do Thread
Upgraded my PC. Replaced the AMD FX Black 6300 (possibly the worst processor I've used) with a Ryzen 5600 X.
It's pretty cool going from barely being able to run GZDoom's software renderer at 4k at even 35 FPS in a simple box level, to being able to hit the default 200 FPS cap on more detailed levels at 4k. No idea how I'll fare on the infamous Frozen Time bridge, should give that a try

What I do miss is the 1 click "Your Posts" thing instead of it being in a submenu, and the old "ZDoom Blue" theme that was very readable unlike Prosilver Dark, where those red boxes aren't very readable.

Re: The Still New What Did You Last Do Thread
What I did yesterday is make a 2 player local multiplayer lazer game in Scratch. Still need to work on it, for example by making the regular lazer and aimbot lazer modes instant. (Or close to instant for aimbot lazer) There's also a turning lazer mode that makes the lazer guideable.
The regular lazer is just a lazer that fires in a straight line.
The aimbot lazer always points towards the player, but you can hide behind a wall.
The whole "modes" thing is for all players and not just for one, it's possible but unfair.

Everyday I have to embrace the fact that TDBots don't work on Linux and ZetaBots VM Aborts because it basically segfaults with my mod.
Sad.
Sad.

Re: The Still New What Did You Last Do Thread
I've made a video from live footage captured as part of my recent project. The stream is still up, but it may be boring and/or time-consuming to watch it all the time, so here are some of the most interesting moments:
