I'm still racking my brain on why Pentium even still makes those absolutely shitty Celeron processors. My aunt got a new computer not long ago that actually has one (and yes, its a brand new, pre built machine). Every celeron I have used has been a slow, buggy piece of SHIT.

They're for people who don't care about speed and just want a computer that's about $200. At least, that's what I've seen. But really... you could get about the same deal just buying a more powerful computer refurbished.

I think he meant Intel? A simple typo I'm sure.

Word: Intel
Word: Pentium

Sure, I can see the problem. Probably common.

Celeron has it's place in the world too!

Examples:
  • In a HTPC. Excellent for watching video files and play DVDs. Sufficient performance and low heat emission helps keeping the noise down.

Office computers. Low price means cheaper computers. There's nothing worse than watching a P4 3.6GHz with 1 GB RAM being used for Word, Excel and Solitaire
