Absolutely bloody fantastic.
I would love to test this out in VR, would be awesome.
Also the enemy sprites look amazing!

Re: BIOSHOCK
Thanks, I haven't shown any enemy sprites yet, but I guess you are talking about the Big Daddy that "Cherno" posted as a test?ZDL_800 wrote:Absolutely bloody fantastic.

He created some amazing characters for the mod, including Big Daddies, Rosies, Little Sisters and Security Bots.
I'll make a video showcasing all when a few more things are done.

Thanks for the reply.
Sounds epic, and we tried Bioshock in Vorpx and its not that good, so imagine this in the VRDoom engine bloody nora.

Never was a Bioshock fan, but this looks neat.
That said, I trust the finalised enemies will not produce blood splatters when shot, right?

WOOOOO this one nice!!!
just little suggesion on the fly, about outside landscapes if possible to add water visual distortion same as when you dive, or maybe just a little less intense. btw mapping and enemies are very nice! Great project!

The Security Bots & Little Sisters, don't bleed (one is a machine and the other impervious to damage)I trust the finalised enemies will not produce blood splatters when shot, right?
Big Daddies and Rosies I don't know yet, I don't remember seeing them bleed in the original game so most probably I'll leave the blood only for splicers.

Re: BIOSHOCK - (NEW! Enemies Showcase)
I agree but that is complicated, shaders won't work applied only to windows (AFAIK) and using an animated texture on the glass doesn't quite produce the same distorsion effect.WOOOOO this one nice!!!

Plus there is a huge issue with performance, in some places like the tunnels the system is taxed as it is. So I'm still looking to balance that and find a solution.
If anyone knows of an effect on a map that pulls that look somehow, please let me know.

Re: BIOSHOCK - (NEW! Enemies Showcase)
I noticed an alarm sound during the fight with bots. Are you going to implement this too?

Yes, McClendon's shop is not completely finished yet, but entering a restricted area of the city will trip an alarm if you don't deactivate it first.

Re: BIOSHOCK - (NEW! Splicers Mambo)
Weirdly enough, watching that new video reminded me of Blood than BioShock.
