Probably the script is broken (the one that is meant to bring reinforcements). This makes the game unbeatable without cheating.
The save file (attached below) can demonstrate the issue. Just enter the outdoor area to see it.

Just realized that when this happens, all the projectile/particle/smoke effects of the game freeze in place. Particles coming from the player's weapons are also frozen in place.
Also I tried the last boss fight of the game by jumping to zone 7 (z7a2 to be precise) and it too has similar problem.

Not much, I was hoping that there was a script error causing an abort - something easy to detect and investigate.

BTW, what revision of Eduke32 was forked for Raze? The feature may be something that was added to newer revision of Eduke32. Fury.exe (1.00 version) was based on r8030-ish I think. So maybe something can be gained by checking the changes between the two revisions.
OR
If a newer revision of Eduke32 was used for Raze and Ion Fury did work on some older test build of Raze, then maybe we can find the commit that introduced the bug using the good ol "Binary Search" method.

I continuously updated from EDuke until the latest revisions. This will have to be investigated but as this forum already suggests, IF is not in the first tier of games to get working.
Right now the focus is on Duke, Blood and RR, and to a lesser extent SW, if something comes along that's easy to change.

Understandable.
Still, I do wish that Ion Fury becomes playable with Raze one day (because I love the vsync in Raze). Meanwhile, I will keep reporting the bugs along the way
