GZDoom 4.7 Save File Pathing

Good morning,
I have been using GZDoom in conjunction with the Doom Launcher program since version 4.5.0 of the former, and have been very satisfied with the results. After updating to version 4.7 last night, however, I have experienced a lot of frustration when trying to run Wads using Doom Launcher with GZDoom 4.7. Doom Launcher has a feature where it parses your Save files in order to present you with a list of statistics, including Kills/Items/Secrets along with total maps and maps completed for any given Wad, and in previous versions of GZDoom, this was done through your Doom II base directory, or from a designated "Saves" folder in the same as of 4.6 (I may be wrong about this second part). 4.7 created a new directory under my PC name, called "Saved Games" and I am unable to figure out how to change this under any part of the Configuration file, because I need the program to utilize its previous file pathfinding, going back to the Doom II Base or integrated Saves folder in the same, in order to automatically export those statistics to the Doom Launcher. I have tried asking about this issue in the Doomworld forums under the Doom Launcher thread, with no information currently, so I was hoping someone might have experienced the same issue and be able to advise me as to how to fix it? I am not computer savvy, so I have done everything I can think of to do, including copying the file folder [Saved Games] into both the Saves folder as well as the App Data for Doom Launcher's Game Files directory, but neither seems to be informing it to use that data for statistical parsing. Thank you in advance for any advice.

GZDoom does have the option to change the save directory as a console command.

I think it's save_dir (try typing that at the console and see what it says). It'll probably say "default".

You can change it to a directory of your choice by typing the path that you want to use for your saves. I've never used it myself, but I assume that it works.

Well, it did find the old save files, but it appears to be loading from data that has since been overwritten by subsequent data. As in, map 02 of completed sets or E1M9 where I've last beaten E3M1. Setting it to "default" does not appear to fix the file parsing issue, and does not actually affect where GZDoom creates its own unique directory under My PC instead of the Doom II base. That seems to be an issue with how the update was programmed? I can only do so much on Doom Launcher's end and would hate to have to revert to 4.6 to get around this. What am I missing?

Where is GZDoom installed?

Probably in Program Files.
4.7 contains a change to consider Program Files write protected and use global storage for configuration and save data, because this has been causing problems for quite a long time for some users. In that case it won't be able to find the saves in the game's directory.
Apparently the launcher was written without support for such a setup and always assumes it has all data right in the game directory.
