Seperate midi devices per Iwad
I use LibADLMidi for music playback and the OPL banks are set to match Doom 2's, which is fine if I'm using Doom as my Iwad, but if I wanted to play Heretic or Hexen, I would have to manually change the OPL banks to match those games. It's a small request based on something that can be solved in a few seconds, but I think it would make a good QOL improvement. That said, I'm not sure if there are others who would share the same sentiment I have, and I don't know if it's easy moving a global CVAR to a game-specific one.
Re: Seperate midi devices per Iwad
I actually thought this would've been game specific already, and am surprised it's not. I'll do this tomorrow if it's not already done by then.
Normally I hate setting CVARs to game-specific but this is a place where it makes perfect sense.

Re: Seperate midi devices per Iwad
Actually, I think for the majority of users this would be a very annoying change, quite anti-QOL, actually, if the MIDI device had to be set per game. The OPL banks for libADL may actually be the only thing where per-game configurability makes sense, but I cannot see any value in making the actual device game specific.
Re: Seperate midi devices per Iwad
Agreed there. I was only going to make the banks game-specific.
I read this suggestion as a request for only changing the banks, not the midi device itself.
