Ambient Sounds and Z-offset

Okay, so I built like, this huge, tall tower of all 3D floors. That said, I have had to move a lot of objects up using Z-offset. Lamps all work and stuff, but when I place sounds, using Z-offset, they don't play.

Example, I have six sound things set to 4700 Z-offset. They're supposed to play a "Waterfall" sound. I know they work, because I have used them elsewhere in the same map, and in the previous map in the set. So all I can think is, Z-offset must be effecting them somehow. Can anybody give me any insights to this?
