How to run mods in ECWolf?

Hello! I recently downloaded ECWolf and wanted to play some mods but when i drop the .pk3 files into the launcher it doesn't do anything and loads Wolfenstein 3D normally. How do i play mods with this source port?

What mods do you want to play? Many Wolf3D mods actually come with their own engine/executable.

A google on ecwolf how to load mods will yield more results.

I'm downloading mods from here http://wolf3d.net/ecwolf/mods/ and every single mod i downloaded comes as a .pk3 without any executables.

If you're using Windows, you can simply click and drag the .pk3 onto ECWolf.

Yes, it works like GZDoom but when i drop the pk3 the launcher loads Wolfenstein 3D normally. Kinda weird, i don't understand what i'm doing wrong or if maybe i'm missing something.

I tried many mods but now i'm trying with this one viewtopic.php?t=53171. The thing now is that it loads them (had to reinstall Wolfenstein 3D) but it crashes when i select the diffuculty level.
This is the message i get when this happens:


EDIT: I'm using the Steam version of Wolfenstein 3D (already replaced dosbox.exe) and my OS is Windows 10.

Try using the drag and drop method on a clean installation of ECWolf, without replacing any of the steam files.

Ok now i can play mods! I realized i was downloading the incorrect version of the launcher. The current versions can be found here https://devbuilds.drdteam.org/ecwolf/
