Running pk3 files in GZDoom on Linux Mint

Post by artistPanda5 »

Hello. I've been trying to learn how to use Linux Mint Cinnamon, and have a small install of it that I boot up sometimes. I decided to try and see if I could run GZDoom on here, and I installed it through the software manager. It works fine on its own, but I can't seem to run the mod I downloaded to test it (It was Venturous, in case that's important). I've tried dragging the .pk3 onto the GZDoom shortcut like I did on Windows, but it still just boots up regular Doom 2, so that doesn't seem to be the right way to do it. Does anyone know the right way to do it? Or does it work at all on Linux Mint?

Try this
gzdoom -file yourmod.pk3

Hope this helps.
