Hi! My name is Laocoön, after the Greek statue (for some reason), and I map for Doom using UDMF.
To introduce myself to the forum, I thought I could post some screens from the mapset I am currently working on, called Monuments.

(For future reference, how do I turn on BBCode to embed images in posts?)
I also have an account over at Doomworld, with the same name and a YouTube channel.

This mapset is very nearly finished, but the maps are a bit big and complex, so it will take some testing before it will be made widely available. Hit me up if you would like to playtest the maps!

Re: Introducing myself and my maps
Hey there. I like to playtest this one. But I have a slight expectation that it's not gonna run well on android seeing the insane amount of detail

You're probably right, but who knows? It might work! It will be ready for testing very soon. Thanks in advance!

Sorry, that link had a map-breaking bug in it. Here's one that works: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1fXvWMz ... drive_link
This is the very first beta of the complete mapset, so there could be issues. Only UV implemented so far.

When using Google Drive, you can upload a new version of the file so it keeps the same link. Right-click > File Information > Manage Versions.Laocoön wrote: ↑Sat Jul 06, 2024 4:02 pm Many apologies! The new link is here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1w0iSC2 ... sp=sharing

If you do this, it'll stop breaking the downloads when you change the file.
If you do need to actually delete the link for some reason, please edit your posts with the new link.

This map looks insane gorgeous, and probably not for my sweet laptop, but truly gorgeous work! I look forward to trying it out when I got a buffer digi-demon slayer apparatus to load this into!

Re: Introducing myself and my maps
Sooo... I've tested it. Gonna upload a short on YouTube under my channel ANDROIDFERRET. Think gonna do it tomorrow.
Vanilla on 50% resolution gives between 10 and 60 FPS. More 10 than 60.
It is kinda playable without recording. But not worth it until I get a new processor (I use a high end Snapdragon 888+ rn)
With the new gen 3 or gen 4 I'm sure it'll run perfectly
