I expect this will be answered with a pretty quick "no" but, as per the title, I was wondering if a camera texture can be given an effect like the enhanced GZDoom night vision effect (green colour with inverted palette enemies).
I had an idea of being able to have infra-red cameras that can "see" in a dark room and display the result on a monitor (camera texture).
Can it be done?
Can a cameratexture have nightvision?

Re: Can a cameratexture have nightvision?
I don't know about that specific nightvision effect (probably not since the inverted monsters are a hardcoded effect) but I know you can generally apply shaders to camera textures and/or use camera textures as inputs for shaders. So in theory you could use something like my realistic nightvision shader as a texture shader for a camera texture. I played around with this once and made it work for Hideous Destructor, but unfortunately didn't save the proof of concept.

Thanks, that would do the job nicely actually. I'll check it out.
