[V1.2] Amourverse DOOM: Yesenia (FINAL UPDATE)

Hello everyone, and welcome to my first ever Doom Classic mod!

In this mod, you can play as an adorable, yet very deadly and trigger-happy Mimikyu girl named Yesenia. As this cutie, you must gather up your toys, raid through the forces of hell to find a way to return to your family unit of bandits, the Ravagers.

All weapons had designs based on Pokemon, with both fire and alt-fire modes implemented. Feel free to guess them all.

The mod in its state is now complete, though some minor updates will be released, just to fix bugs and rebalancing.

These are the additional moves you have at your disposal:
  • Kick: You can kick your enemies when you're cornered. Default: Q.
  • Slide: You can slide under gaps, if you need to keep your momentum. Default: F
  • Double Jump: You can take an extra leap in the air. Nothing too fancy.
  • Ledge Grab: You can grab onto ledges, another simple need.
  • Slide Kick: You can do a kick while you're sliding for a bit of extra damage.
  • Ground Slam: You can slam the ground with your scarf fists, and do it in a higher vertical distance for a powerful shockwave. Default: G

So I was going in this mod expecting a good experience got out of it having a good experience. Good Job on your first Doom mod! Really liking the aesthetic by the way! it reminds me of Netronian Chaos with it's MS paint like feel.
Suggestions : Buff the weapons a little bit more. More notably the chainsaw, Give the fist an alt fire like maybe charge it up for a big ORA move or even make it stop time but it uses all your ammo as gas.
I'll try to get back to you as soon as I finish a mapset with this mod but overall Good Job! I'm really loving it

For some reason, neither the mod link, nor your itch.io page, are working for me. Check if you're actually published/set to public/whatever privacy settings Itch has are not enabled.

I had to log out to test it, and yeah, I see what you mean. The weird thing is that it's both published and set to public. If I can't fix the link, I'll put up another link to mirror download.

Alright, so I uploaded the mod in other sites and added several new links. Hopefully these will stay.

And I hope the itch link gets back up, otherwise I'm not trusting itch again with mods. ^^;;

So a bit of a quick update, I had remove some names from the credits and did some other minor changes in the process.

Yeesh, first day fresh out of release and I'm already facing drama and fixing.

So I found out why the mod was taken down on itch and ModDB.

It turns out a bunch of troll users got into the pages and spammed comments and reports about my mod being "racist" for some reason. The mod didn't have any content that would make it be deemed racist, yet these users have gone out of their way to spam reports that it is, and thus getting the mod taken down on ModDB and getting me shadow-banned on itch... literally everything on itch that I made is invisible and inaccessible. I can send a link to the old version of the mod if requested for review.

Here is a link to a screenshot another user took of the comment section in the ModDB page, before it got taken down.

If i can report some issue i think the animated select section of the shotgun seem to lack 1 frame of transition.

Hmm...I feel like the FERRA should deal more damage

Especially for the charge shot
