Re: ZDoom Community Top Works of All Time
It's really hard to pick favorites when it comes to Doom modding.
There's simply so much good stuff here.
However after a while, I found myself revisiting only a handful of mods.
So I'd like to update my list if that's alright.

Re: ZDoom Community Top Works of All Time
I'm not sure if we have established if separate episodes or sequels should be separated or not.
Personally I vote merged unless they are classed as completely different mods. Like, I would put Golden Souls 1-3 all together, but maybe not Blade Of Agony and Wolfendoom or fan expansions, for example. Unless we leave this to author's discretion. What does everyone think?

Re: ZDoom Community Top Works of All Time
Lagi, thanks for the update! Tally and labels updated.
I'll explain how it feels to me case by case.
C1. Ashes (includes (?) Ashes 2063 TC/Episode 1 Enriched Edition, Ashes: Dead Man Walking, Ashes Afterglow TC/Episode 2, Episode One Sterilised Edition, Episode 1 Weapons Pack, Episode 1 Monsters Pack, Captain J's Wasted Ashes SFX, TheRailgunnner's Jetfire edition mod, FAL Weapon Mutator, Episode 2 Standalone weapons pack, ?). The two episodes feel like two parts of a single story. They have mostly the same mood. Conclusion - single entry.
C2. The Adventures of Square (includes Episode 1 and 2). Contained in the single package. Episode 2 is direct continuation of Episode 1 story. The same protagonist. Episode 2 expands (IIRC) the arsenal. Conclusion - one entry.
C3. Blade of Agony/WolfenDOOM. Different authors, different engine, different style. Blade of Agony sometimes is referred as WolfenDOOM: Blade of Agony, however, on the official page it's either just "Blade of Agony" or "Wolfenstein: Blade of Agony". So, at the moment BOA doesn't seem to pretend to be from the same package. To me, it's unclear if Blade of Agony draws more inspiration from WolfenDOOM or Wolfenstein directly. Conclusion - different entries.
C4. WolfenDOOM by Laz Rojas (includes Second Encounter, Die, Fuhrer, Die, Treasure Hunt, Escape from Totenhaus, The Portal, Astrostein, Astrostein 2, Astrostein 3, Operation: Eisenmann, Operation: Arctic Wolf, Operation: Rheingold, Halten Sie!, The Nocturnal Missions, The Original Missions, Spear of Destiny). Some of them are based on different Wolfenstein entries, which were sold separately. Some of them are original and stand on their own. Maybe Astrostein, Astrostein 2 and Astrostein 3 should be united under the name "Astrostein Trilogy" (as referred on the original site). People voted for WolfenDOOM scenarios separately. Conclusion - not sure.
C5. Action Doom (includes Action Doom, Action Doom 2: Urban Brawl, Dead of Winter, bonus content). Action Doom 1 and 2 show different style and different gameplay. Dead of Winter and bonus content are part of Action Doom 2 package. Conclusion - two entries.
C6. Doom: The Golden Souls (includes Doom: The Golden Souls, The Golden Souls Remastered, Doom: The Golden Souls 2, Doom: The Golden Souls 3 (to be released)). Golden Souls 2 is promoted as a sequel, not a second episode. Different weapons. Similar theme, similar gameplay. Conclusion - not sure.
C7. Reelism (includes Reelism with expansion packs, Reelism 2). Reelism 2 is promoted as a successor for the first entry, and aims to rebuild and expand it. People vote for them as separate entries. Conclusion - not sure.
C8. Hell-Forged (includes Episode 1 and 2 (to be released)). Don't know yet. Probably a single entry, because they are called episodes. Conclusion - not sure.
C9. Shadow of The Wool Ball/Rise of The Wool Ball. Promoted as different games (Rise of The Wool Ball is a sequel). Drawing inspiration from Wolfenstein 3D/Rise Of The Triad respectively. Different protagonists. Conclusion - two entries.
C10. Inquisitor (includes The Inquisitor, The Inquisitor 2 and The Inquisitor 3D). They are connected by story. I haven't played them, cannot say much. Conclusion - not sure.
C11. The Ghoul's Forest series (includes The ghoul's forest, The Ghoul's Forest 2, The Ghoul's Forest 2 - ST Edition, The Ghoul's Forest 3). Haven't played. Conclusion - not sure.
C12. Eriguns (includes Eriguns1 and Eriguns2). One forum thread, one GitHub repository for both mods. Both are created from Amuscaria's Demon Eclipse sprites. Conclusion - probably should be merged.
C13. MassMouth series (includes The Adventures of MassMouth, MassMouth 2, Massmouthmas). I haven't played them yet, so I cannot say how much they stand on their own. Conclusion - not sure.
C14. Paranoid and Paranoiac. Paranoiac requires Paranoid.pk3 to play, so Paranoiac feels as an expansion to Paranoid to me. Conclusion - one entry.
C15. m8f's toolbox unites my several add-ons under one title, however, they are not related besides small pieces of code. The toolbox title was created mostly for add-on cross-promotion (initially to promote Weapon Menu). Conclusion - each add-on has its own entry.
C16. Temple of the Lizard Men. Haven't played, conclusion - not sure.
C17. Cheogsh series (includes Cheogsh, Cheogsh 2, Realm of Cheogsh). Again, haven't played, cannot say much. Conclusion - not sure.
C18. Trench Foot (includes Trench Foot, CountryCide). ContryCide is described as a prequel. Feels like part of the same project. Single forum thread, single ModDB page. Conclusion - one entry.
So far, I decided to combine entries for Eriguns 1 and Eriguns 2.
Everything is up to discussion. I'll be glad to hear your thoughts.
