Agreed, that's some very professional voice acting, rivals some commercial games even. You've got a colossal amount of work cut out ahead of you, all the best!

Off: Will gzdoom-gpl support the new cool features from the beta builds on gzdoom? (like ssao, lens flare, tonemaps,...)
Because I belive those effects are going to make this game graphically cooler without too many edits (Not saying it sucks, but since those effects can make vanilla doom looks more realistic, what about a proper new game with gzdoom)...

Heh, I also did a game using gzdoom engine, shame some random indie decided to create a shitty game with the same name as my game, so all the time I try to find out some gameplay vídeo about cursed maze, I only can see that shitty game and not mine :bang:

EDIT: Wow, the game looks like well done, it reminds me game maker 3d games like spooky house of jumpscare or imscared. , nop, thats other game you did, but the screenshots looks cool either.

The entire framebuffer infrastructure plus all the post processing effects is already in GZDoom-GPL and has been for quite some time. Basically it's simple: if Graf Zahl adds something into GZDoom, it will be in GZDoom-GPL. ;)

Graf didn't say if SSAO will be merged before the next scheduled official release (it most probably won't be) but the work being done by dpJudas in his own SSAO branch is already almost finished, except for a few issues that need to be addressed (SSAO in fog and selective SSAO pass, IIRC). I'm pretty sure SSAO will be added into GZDoom post-release, and therefore will be in GZDoom-GPL too.

Are you aiming to make something along the lines of Outlaws (an early 'cinematic' FPS) but with gangsters? Because a film noir version of Outlaws would be dope. Good luck with your project.

Yes, a very story driven based doom shooter.
