Hello! great application but for some reason it broke the mod "voxel doom" for some enemies (it replaces sprites for 3d models) maybe the naming of the sprites changed from one version to another?
Is this wad is compatible with most mods??

It is compatible with all mods that either
1. Don't use filter folders.
2. Use filter folders and account for Wadsmoosh.
Voxel Doom probably uses filter folders but forgot about Wadsmoosh.

Not really. You were just working around the author of Voxel Doom not knowing/not caring to add Wadsmoosh support.

Oooh, new 'official' doom wad dropped. Legacy of Rust from New Blood. Hoping we get to see it smooshed too.

If i might make a suggestion for wad smoosh. could you consider changing new game to a display a selector for the doom 1 and 2 campaigns separately the episode list is getting really long now. since there is going to be romero's D2 campaign coming along whenever he's finished with that on top of legacy of rust. feel the separating by doom 1 vs doom 2 is the best method as it also helps organize

Would need the new weapons to be converted to DECORATE or ZScript (not too hard to do, there's the DECOHACK source code for them which is very close to DECORATE) so that they don't replace plasma rifle and BFG in the rest of the levels.MrDowntempo wrote: ↑Fri Aug 09, 2024 4:36 am Oooh, new 'official' doom wad dropped. Would it be possible to include Andrew Hulshult's music as an install option, since both IDKFA and his new Doom II remixes are present in the Nightdive remaster, as well as add support for 2024's merged Master Levels WAD?

Can't speak for the devs. But IDKFA is at least compatible with wadsmoosh as I've used it in the past. It doesn't get merged in it (since it wasn't at that time 'official') but you can just add it to your load order.ShockwaveS08 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 09, 2024 9:47 am Would it be possible to include Andrew Hulshult's music as an install option, since both IDKFA and his new Doom II remixes are present in the Nightdive remaster, as well as add support for 2024's merged Master Levels WAD?

It's not too hard to extract his Doom 2 soundtrack and get it working on source ports either, as long as you either have the patience or have a way to mass-rename files.MrDowntempo wrote: ↑Fri Aug 09, 2024 12:34 pmCan't speak for the devs. But IDKFA is at least compatible with wadsmoosh as I've used it in the past. On the topic of Legacy of Rust, I feel like it added too much to be added to Wadsmoosh. If you play Wadsmoosh pure vanilla, then it could be fine, but considering it's made for GZDoom, odds are you're modding the game. And all the new content introduced in Legacy of Rust would cause issues.

Not necessarily, since it's meant to be new content. Biggest possible issue is that a replacer would not replace them; but that's only going to be a problem if you use a mod that completely changes Doom to the point that the new content doesn't fit anymore.mamaluigisbagel wrote: ↑Fri Aug 09, 2024 3:08 pm On the topic of Legacy of Rust, I feel like it added too much to be added to Wadsmoosh. End of an era There are already some older forks around on Github. Hopefully some clever folk take up the mantle, because there's more content out now, and more on its way, and we're gonna need it smoooshed.

Best part of the document
This pretty much sums up thoughts that I have for quite a while - especially after the shitstorm around Blade of Agony a few years ago. It's a shame that a few idiots are so toxic that they are responsible to make the productive and useful people leave and drop their interest. Wow. All I can say is wow.I am tired of supporting WadSmoosh. Some community folks have been incredibly helpful to me during development, and I appreciate them immensely. But for the most part, supporting software in this particular community context sucks. It has a subjective curatorial aspect that everyone has different opinions on, producing dozens of support requests. The range of peoples' setups vary wildly and some of them are based on data they've clearly pirated. And some people just do not know how to communicate with creators in a civil way. It has worn me down.
