I just want to say that I love what id Software was and what they stood for, but I hate what they ended up becoming. I don't blame them, I blame the evolution of the video game industry. It was great when games were about the gamers.

It's certainly the same kind of evolution as we got with Hollywood. Stuff is less demanding because it works better for the majority of people.Nevander wrote:I don't blame them, I blame the evolution of the video game industry. It was great when games were about the gamers.

Transformers 2, 3 and 4 certainly represent this alot and i don't blame Michael Bay for that, he just do because if he don't accept, then Paramount would choose another director to do it, since Transformers is now a movie only for earn money than something greater.Tormentor667 wrote:It's certainly the same kind of evolution as we got with Hollywood. I just hope those remakes/sequel coming on this year don't fall completely on this, read it as Poltergeist, Jurassic World, Star Wars Episode VII and Terminator Genesis

Jurassic World looks slightly less terrible than Jurassic Park 3, but that's still not saying much. I'll probably wait until it's in the crappy $1/ticket theaters to see it.

The video is actually a little inaccurate about one thing. Todd left the company before Carmack, he isn't the CEO anymore.
