Are there any objections to using OpenDNS?
I love Carey Holzman and even though he posts some stuff that I'm not really interested in he's been a big help in helping me build a PC and he's also given miscellaneous tips and info to any viewers. Recently he's posted a video about something called OpenDNS (it's a reupload from his Quick Tip series of videos apparently), and because I trust him, aswell as having looked slightly around the internet for info about if it's bad in any way, I've started using it. I wondered if anyone here has any experience with it. Should I continue, should I stop?

I've been using it as well, actually. Infact, it's good to write down OpenDNS's IPs and Google's. Internet Provider's DNSes can go down, and when they do - you're shit out of luck for browsing the internet. This happened to me before and I have since then switched to OpenDNS.
I haven't experienced anything bad nor any slow downs with OpenDNS. I have a friend who uses Google's DNS and he hasn't had any problems. So go ahead.

You may not get the closest CDN. Looks like Akamai solved that problem. If Google doesn't do something similar expect more buffering than usual from YT.

DNS is just a phone book with IPs, DNS =/= YouTube buffering. I also believe Google knows -well- about CDN.

I'll take it it's good then, and I'll keep using it.
