New Wolfenstein game
Basically the 1946 bit of The New Order padded out into a full budget game.
Thoughts?

Re: New Wolfenstein game
Is this a new game or an expansion? It looks like the latter to me

Re: New Wolfenstein game
Standalone prequel expansion, think Spear of Destiny and Wolfenstein 3D.

What are your thoughts, though? There's more to a conversation than "Thing. Discuss."SamVision wrote:Thoughts?

Too many people do that on forums IMO (and as far as I'm concerned, 1 is too manyNeuralStunner wrote:There's more to a conversation than "Thing. Discuss."

I quite like the style of the trailer. I don't really have much information about TNO as context because I didn't play it. I guess this will be a Steam release too so I probably won't play it either.

On the one hand: man, I'm gonna have to go write ANOTHER update to HG101's Wolfenstein article. On the other: I love the 1950s horror-exploitation-cinema feel that they put into this so far. If they can keep up the same ultra-tense mood that TNO had, I'm gonna be one happy camper.

I dunno, I'm getting more of a classic Wolfenstein feel with this. Also it actually has chainguns.

So did The New Order, in the 1946 prologue.xenoxols wrote:I dunno, I'm getting more of a classic Wolfenstein feel with this. Also it actually has chainguns.

I didn't get a classic Wolfenstein vibe from that. Honestly I don't think TNO should even be called a Wolfenstein game.

If having BJ Blazkowicz shooting/sneaking around Nazis with large guns while hunting around for health/ammo/secrets/more Nazis isn't Wolfenstein to you, I don't know what is.xenoxols wrote:I didn't get a classic Wolfenstein vibe from that. Re: New Wolfenstein game
For some reason I could never bring myself to call the 2009 Wolfenstein a Wolfenstein game (ironically) even thought it had all of that, except for health obviously.

Re: New Wolfenstein game
The only thing about TNO that i was did not like was the 0 supernatural elements in the game and with TOB it looks like there will definitly have supernatural in it which is damn good

Except for the Da'at Yichud vault containing the power suit, the recharge mod for the LaserKraftWerk, and the Spindly Torque, used twice later on in the game.Ma77 wrote:The only thing about TNO that i was did not like was the 0 supernatural elements in the game

And, well, the vault itself. It's kinda hard impossible to miss.

Re: New Wolfenstein game
The only part of TNO that truly irked me was the story. I mean come on, the Nazis reverse engineered the technology of super-Jews and that allowed them to win the war? A bit too ridiculous even for Wolfenstein.
