I do have one technical question however, and that's getting the SOD levels working. I have GAMEMAPS.wl6 and the other GAMEMAPS from the expansions in the same folder as the ipk3, but I can only play through the base levels. Do I need to rename something or put anything in the folder to get the SOD levels functional?
Look at that from the OP:

The following files are supported:
Wolf3D Registered: GAMEMAPS.WL3
Wolf3D Registered (Full Game): GAMEMAPS.WL6
Spear of Destiny: GAMEMAPS.SOD
Return to Danger: GAMEMAPS.SD2
The Ultimate Challenge: GAMEMAPS.SD3

Make sure that your GAMEMAPS.SOD file is named as such... GAMEMAPS.SD1 won't work.

If you have all of your GAMEMAPS files in the folder with the .ipk3 and they show up in the startup log as loaded (at the top, with the information on loaded IWAD and PWADs), check farther down the log to after where the TC title appears in yellow.

If any of your files don't match a known release version, or are a renamed version of a different file, you should see that message in red in the log:
Wolfenstein 3-D Total Conversion 3.0 Checking for valid GAMEMAPS files... WARNING: GAMEMAPS.WL6 is actually a renamed copy of GAMEMAPS.WL3 WARNING: GAMEMAPS.SOD has an unknown hash: 26d457c5bcad3b49bfb04e14ed36945a

This should help troubleshoot your data files.

I've checked the startup log and I couldn't find any error messages about certain files not matching known versions. I should mention that I've using the GOG release of Wolfenstein 3D and Spear of Destiny, and with SOD, the GAMEMAPS were in different folders with the file extension being .SOD for all three of the mission packs. I renamed them each to their own separate file extensions for the ipk3 to read, so I don't know if that might've broke something.

Edit: On closer look, the startup logs do mention not being able to find the GAMEMAPS for the expansions, which I find weird since they are located in that exact location.

That's... Very odd. Even more weird because it's successfully finding your GAMEMAPS.WL6 file that is in the same folder.

Based on file size, you have the right files... Is there any chance that you somehow have non-standard characters in the filename (like a non-breaking space at the end of the file extension, or something like that)?

I looked further into the issue, and it turned out that I had file extension disabled on my file browser. Once I enabled the extensions to be seen, I found out that the .SOD file extensions were still present on the renamed files.

Once I removed them, I was able to boot into the expansions without any issue or trouble. Thanks for being patient while I was troubleshooting; it kind of derailed into tech support and I apologize for that.

AFADoomer! I have been watching "Wolfenstein 3D TC" for a long time and waited for version 3.0.

But when I wanted to check the performance of the mod port, only the Original with 6 Episodes started normally. The Spear of Destiny and The Lost Missions does not see at all! The WL6 file worked, but there is a problem with SOD files. By the way, where did you get SD2 and SD3 at all? Where I didn't download it, all GAMEDATA were called the same: GAMEDATA.SOD!

And one more thing: "Why couldn't everything be added at once?" In version 2.0.2, they already seemed to be inside, but not here!

Oh, yes, I forgot! Is it planned to add support for the 30th Anniversary Wolfenstein 3D? And where did the Theme "U R A HERO" go?

Hi.

Please don't use bold, italics, and colors together in posts in the future. It makes things very hard to read.

For .SD2 and .SD3, just copy and rename the files from their original locations. The original Spear of Destiny should stay as .SOD. If you're using a new GoG or Steam download, the additional map sets may have not been included.

The change to requiring the original files is a nod toward copyright compliance. Previous versions of the TC are technically illegal.

I will not support the 30th Anniversary Edition. The author does not want his resources extracted and repackaged, so I will not do so.

U R A Hero is exactly where it always has been.

That's it! I found the solution to the problem!

The last two addons are a bit more complicated. The fact is that it is necessary to change not the File Name, but the File Type (For example, through the Total Commander program)! That's the whole solution!

Congrats on the 3.0 Release!
Will there be support for custom map packs (as in maps only (and/or with sprites and sounds replaced))?

The file extension is part of the filename. If you are using Windows Explorer and for some reason your .SOD files are identified as a "known" file type, the extension will be hidden by default; In Windows 11 you can turn on showing file extensions in the 'View' drop-down menu's 'Show' entry. In Windows 10, it's a checkbox under the View tab.

If you mean custom user-made maps, then yes - the editor keys are all defined, and maps can easily be created in Ultimate Doom Builder.

If you mean directly loading Wolf3D maps, no... I am planning to re-release the map conversion tool in the near future, but I need to dust off an old hard drive and make some changes to the tool first. That will allow conversion of any 'vanilla' maps to work directly with the TC.

I'd love to be able to load sounds and sprites directly from Wolf3D resources, but unless/until ZScript gets the ability to dynamically create new textures from raw data, that's outside of the scope of this mod.

The status bar is very small by default.

Are you running the mod as an IWAD or on top of something else, like Doom 2? If run as an IWAD, the default should be a full-size status bar. If you run the mod as a PWAD, status bar scaling will fall back to whatever you used last in that base game.

How complicated would it be to give SOD17 a proper sky when ceiling textures are enabled? It is supposed to take place on the roof, after all.

As an IWAD. Is it supposed to be as small as it is on a 1080p monitor?
