Re: Widescreen statusbars for Doom PWADs
Palette conversion in Slade is as simple as it can get. After import right-click, select conversion, Doom palette, save, done. I doubt external tools can do it any better.

Besides converting to Doom palette in SLADE usually works better than in other programs. cf. https://www.doomworld.com/forum/topic/6 ... ison-pics/

Re: Widescreen statusbars for Doom PWADs
Since people keep sending me new statusbars now and then, it appears as if there is a certain demand for this still in spite of the existance of the Fullscreen Statusbar Mod which was supposed to replace this.
For me to continue this project, it needs to enter the next level. Which means there should be an ingame selection menu which lets you set the right widescreen statusbar according to the mod addon you have currently loaded. I think it has already been done elsewhere, but I don't remember the project and wouldn't know how to pull it off in ZScript myself.

You might forget to save the settings after applying the offset.

Well thanks for all the help, and tolerating my stupidity, now that I have figured out how to make then or rather save them XD, I ma make a bunch of them and post them here ofcousrse.
Hers the first one I finally got to works;- Slaughterfest2012-Hud.wad
Download
Edit;-1
Yall know Lullaby By Danlex? ya even though my pc runs it on 2 fps its a good looking map and it need not be ruined by not having a Widescreen-Hud any longer
Download
Edit;-2
Made another one for Lost Civilization, was a pain to draw the overgrown look but worth it.
Download
Edit;-3 Added preview images, just in case they matches with another mod by chance.
I will be making more soon, but if someone can help me on how to attach them on the forum post so I don't have to go though this mess of uploading them to google drive.
If anyone has a Hud they need I am willing to make one, but no guarantees.

Re: Widescreen statusbars for Doom PWADs
Neat idea. Personally I still run these widescreen statusbars combined with the fullscreen mod, since I enjoy switching between the two during sessions. I'd imagine a bunch of others do as well. Great work btw, thanks!NightFright wrote:Since people keep sending me new statusbars now and then, it appears as if there is a certain demand for this still in spite of the existance of the Fullscreen Statusbar Mod which was supposed to replace this.

Hello! I don't have any talent for graphic design, so would someone be willing to make a widescreen status bar for Alien Vendetta?

Did you even bother to read the first post? AV is already in the pack since AGES. You can even see it in the preview screenshots. How much more obvious do you need it to be?

Re: Widescreen statusbars for Doom PWADs
Excuse me, but I don't see why you had to be so rude in your response. I thought the ZIP file at the top of the initial post had all the assets for the PWADs in it, and that's what I downloaded. The only file I saw in there was "av_fix.wad", which had no STBAR replacement, so I was confused and didn't realize I'd have to download the JPG directly off the page. Thanks for pointing it out, but next time someone asks for help, perhaps you should consider that they simply didn't think to look in a location separate from the download linkNightFright wrote:Did you even bother to read the first post? Re: Widescreen statusbars for Doom PWADs
Actually, I was mistaken about the JPG, since that was just to collectively preview the status bars for WADs included in the ZIP. So as far as I can tell, the STBAR asset is missing from the av_fix.wad entry in the ZIP file, and my confusion was entirely justified and didn't warrant such a rude response.
EDIT: Okay, now I see the issue. I must have pulled the ZIP from another source, one that didn't have the graphics in there along with the MAPINFO and DEHACKED files. I'm not sure how I ended up with a copy of the ZIP that didn't have those assets, but I'm good now.
