Will the Steam version be free to those who have bought it already? In all honesty I wouldn't be opposed to buying it again; I'd like to help put a little support behind it.

Yes, keys will be available to previous (and future) customers from itch.io, wisdomtreegames.com, or pikointeractive.com closer to release.

We just want to make a few ¢ selling the cards. A lot of people don't care cards themselves (unless its anime girls) so feel free to phone it in. If you ever bundle cards are a selling point (a whole $2 for just 6 games? Well I'll make half that back in cards). FWIW you get 10% of each transaction.

So, ...I don't see it - not on Linux.Support for SDL2 is working and is used on Windows for 64-bit builds.
Actually, given the change in syntax, src/id_sd.cpp simply can't be built with SDL2_mixer.
Of course, after fixing that file and making the needed changes in src/CMakeLists.txt it does build and seems to work correctly.

You should be using the customized "SDL_mixer for ECWolf" not stock, but what problem are you referring to?

...matter of opinion...
Anyway, what do you mean by "what problem are you referring to" ?
First of all, zdoom had that FindSDL2.cmake file for a reason and ecwolf would need similarly adjusted FindSDL2_mixer.cmake (along with the entry telling cmake where to search for these files) (on that note, given the entries in FindSDL_mixer, ecwolf should be using SDL_MIXER* not SDLMIXER* var variants).
Second, in src/id_sd.cpp, Mix_LoadMUS_RW call is the obvious problem.
Finally, that textscreen lib would need to be ported to SDL2...
On that note, it looks like something potentially useful for ENDOOM screens (even if EGA values is uses are slightly off) - not sure though if it would stil be as neat after porting.

Not if you plan on playing mods, S3DNA, Mac Wolf, or eventually Rise of the Triad. I posted about the changes on the SDL mailing list and it got ignored, so this is likely a permanent fork.VoidMage wrote:...matter of opinion...
The Mix_LoadMUS_RW call apparently is what you were referring to.VoidMage wrote:Anyway, what do you mean by "what problem are you referring to" ?
Is it ported to SDL2 yet? I know Chocolate Doom was in the process of being ported and I could pull the new version.VoidMage wrote:Finally, that textscreen lib would need to be ported to SDL2...
Right now SDL1 is still more or less the recommended code path, so for now the procedure if you want to use SDL2 is fill in SDL_LIBRARY/SDL_INCLUDE_DIR with SDL2 paths.VoidMage wrote:First of all, zdoom had that FindSDL2.cmake file for a reason and ecwolf would need similarly adjusted FindSDL2_mixer.cmake

As for the other part, while I've used Chocolate Doom as a point of reference in a few posts, I don't follow it all that closely - that bug-for-bug compatibility is just too silly for me.

I'm still recovering from the Monster Steam Game.

Yeah, I've had a look at the new Super 3D Noah's Ark release - they don't mess around, it's well assembled!

I own the original files for wolf3d
I would like to play it the same way as I use wads in gzdoom
I tried wolf3d TC & ecwolf
