...Even though it was maybe for joke, i don't think it was actually necessary. Also you can delete your post instead of editing it, you know. I still can see what you're saying.

I think the dither effect could be recreated in OpenGL with shaders but that won't be ready in GZDoom for a while...

Since post-processing shaders were already introduced with the new bloom effects this is actually already quite feasible, now, and it wouldn't take much effort, either.Nash wrote:Just walked around this, very nice indeed, feels very a e s t h e t I c

It's nothing that will actually get this map running in GZDoom, but at the very least this map could be recreated in GZDoom with said effects, although it would probably look ultimately a bit different.

I'm still awaiting a response for the security report of woman hovering in the sky. I mean, I'm hired as a security guard, so at least an acknowledgement of this would seem correct.... Even though it was air-born, it was on the property. But considering the distance and that I'm an unarmed guard, I don't know what I was expected to do, besides report it

Im telling you.... Its not working at all.Murix wrote: JimpArgon: I'm using 2.8.1.0 ZDOOM and it seems to be fine. I'll download the latest version later to see if it works on that.
I downloaded the first version he posted and it works in GZ doom. I have pics to prove this.

^ Do notice it says the title of the wad Construction site before launch. Also, in GZdoom.
The version he posted on the OP at the time of writing this does not work in EITHER GZ or Zdooom. (also for the record I am using "Zdoom -2.8.1") It only launches Doom 2.

You're doing something wrong, then. As it's working for me for ZDoom 2.8.1.
Also, a rather cute and nifty look going on there. Reminds me of those old MS-DOS games during the CGA era where shading is made with the use of dithering.

So dragging and dropping the file is the wrong method I suppose? What are you doing? Running a batch file or something?
You can clearly see I am using the same version of Zdoom that you are. So what exactly am I doing wrong?
And besides that, if you looked at my pics I posted. Why would the first version I downloaded work fine by drag and drop and not this current version? Also it worked in GZdoom as I have clearly shown.

I'm using ZDE. You can use ZDL or a similar project to achieve the same thing. It essentially runs the game through a command line.

Check to make sure that the new version downloaded correctly. Sometimes, a web browser will erroneously mark a downloaded file as "complete." You can probably tell whether it works or not by trying to open it in a ZIP program of your choosing.

I tried using ZDE like Hellser says he did. Still not working.
I have the original release that does work, guess I will just settle with that version.

Okay, bear with me here: can you get the MD5 hash of the new version that doesn't work? I'd like to compare it with the one I've got that does.JimpArgon wrote:I tried using ZDE like Hellser says he did. Still not working.

Re: [TECHDEMO] ░s▒ᴡ░ᴄ▒s░ɴ▒s░s▒s░
Hmm, looking at this finally, its a really cool effect. I think, possibly, with features currently in GZDoom, you could make a custom shader that would replicate it. Not perfectly, I don't think you could have the effect where if you look into the pyramid holes and look down you see [REDACTED], but much of the effect could possibly be recreated by a shader. Not 100% certain though, I guess I might have to prototype some stuff in the near future.
