Just got done playing this the other day and I have to say I really love this mod, just fun all around! There are a few glitches as others have noted, but it's far more polished this round! :thumb:

The game gets much simpler when I can tell how well I'm doing, and it's clear that the author has invested a great deal of effort into it. Effort which has paid off. Mostly. A lot of the 3-D model vehicles around the levels don't seem to have collision, allowing the player to walk through them, which looks really weird and breaks immersion. The game's habit of forcing a pistol start is annoying, but I get why - you probably wouldn't be allowed to keep the arsenal you collect within each mission afterwards... but still, not even a rifle from your faction? Feels a bit weird, since stealth isn't a concern.

My current issue is that I finished the Soviet campaign and started the American one, getting as far as Goodbye Blue Sky before getting stuck. I cannot seem to figure out where to find the silver key. I went into the back room of a pub, flick a switch that did... something, found a fence I could climb which took me to another street which had been blocked off so far but did not allow me to backtrack, venture into the wine cellar and defeat a platoon of paratroopers only to find a dead end. There's a door that needs a silver key, and a flooded tunnel that leads to a small room with a drop that leads to a transition... except that I'm at the bottom and can't use it. I'm lost. Yes, I could simply wait for Pagb666 to do a video, but that seems like it will take a while, as in weeks, and a quick search on Youtube does not show any other walkthroughs. Will you help me?

I appreciate that you responded, but that doesn't help me much. The page says to 'navigate the sewer system until you find the silver key'. Okay, where is the silver key? Because I don't see it in that chamber that the flooded tunnel leads to. Could you please give me a bit more detail?

You must enter the place in sewers, where there is a sign saying "ONE WAY", and enter the hole to which the arrow is pointing; jump upwards in the hole, and eventually, you'll find yourself at the backyard of a house where the key resides.

Looks like that was the culprit! Swapped over from OpenGL to Vulkan, and so far, so good! Haven't really had too much time to test it out since swapping over, so if more crashes do happen, I'll point it out, but it's looking good so far.

I think I did the same thing with Blade of Agony, since OpenGL (amongst other things) was causing the mod to absolutely chug in some spots.

Huh. No wonder I didn't see that one; that wall really didn't look climbable to me. Thanks for the help. Overall, I have to say that this is a good game, with some rough spots. It's interesting how random nerds can turn out more interesting products using decades old software than the AAA corpos with their billion-dollar software and hundreds of workers can... but that's just me.

edit: I found a game-breaking bug. Castro can kill himself using his rocket launcher. If he does, the victory music kicks in... but the level complete script does not, making the level impossible to finish. I don't know programming, so I can't suggest fixes.

It's possible to disable reloading?

Aside from some very minor issues that I can think of, this whole campaign has been a blast so far!

That being said, there are two big issues I would like to see fixed in the next update:

1. E6M4: Ragnarok has a game-breaking bug in the current build where the hidden door to the bomb shelter in the Soviet party house doesn't open after hitting the switch. It requires using noclip/idclip to get through, otherwise you're stuck.

2. I've very occasionally run into some issue where the game will CTD on me while shooting at an enemy. I first saw this happen on E1M2 when fighting with the dogs, and I was unable to progress any further. Fortunately, changing the renderer from OpenGL to Vulkan solved it... up until I got to E5M5, then it happened to me once there, at the very beginning. It then happened to me again (I think either twice or thrice in a row) on E6M3. While Vulkan certainly seems to significantly lower the chance of this crash happening, it doesn't completely eliminate it, which can really be an issue if someone hasn't saved in a while.

Just started the final level of the final chapter, so I can't wait to see how this mod concludes! If those two major issues can be patched out, that would tack on even more points! I honestly enjoy this mod over Blade of Agony for various reasons (mainly performance).

I hit a game breaking bug in E5M4. I couldn't damage the Cramp Twins at all with any weapons I had and I didn't see anything mentioning something like this in the walkthrough so I have to assume I somehow hit a bug. I'm using GZDoom 4.14.1, the most recent version and also applied Nashgore on top though I don't think this could have any effect. I had to invoke the 'kill' console command to get through that part.

The Cramp Twins are killable - it's just that it takes to kill one of them to lower the healthbar (by a half, to be precise). I was unable to program a two-bosses-in-one boss any other way, sorry.

This is the fault of the models as-they-were in the Counter Strike: Source model pack; this is why I rarely used them after I realized people might not like that.
