Hi everyone
A few days ago I decided to install and play myhouse.wad on my android phone. I was confident that it would work
as I had Freedoom installed, which is technically a GZDoom port. So anyway, I placed myhouse.wad in the
wads folder, and then placed myhouse.pk3 in the mods folder. The problem is, though, Freedoom keeps crashing whenever
I use the parameter "-file mods/myhouse.pk3" with either freedoom2.wad or doom2.wad, without giving any errors. If I launch
doom2.wad with myhouse.wad alone, I can't progress to the second house and keep getting these errors:
Unknown floor texture 'Tile01' in sector 69
Unknown floor texture 'Tile01' in sector 142
Unknown floor texture 'Tile01' in sector 661
Unknown floor texture 'Tile01' in sector 887
I've searched all over the internet but didn't find any useful information(because most of them were directed at Windows ports).
Even a user's question on Doomworld which was extremely similar to mine didn't help.
Can anyone please explain to me what the problem is in a simple language?
My hardware information:
OS: ColorOS V2.1.0i (Android 5.1)
Engine used: GZDoom (Not sure what version Freedoom is)
RAM: 1.0GB
Processor: Quad Core
Phone model: Oppo (1201EX-A_11_19312)

Do you know what version number of GZDoom it contains? Because it might not be a new enough one. It should tell you in the bottom-right corner of the console, during a running game.Freedoom installed, which is technically a GZDoom port

2.1 is ancient.

Does the Android version of Freedoom still receive updates? If yes, is its current GZDoom version appropriate? If no, are there any
modern GZDoom ports for Android?

DeltaTouch has modern version of GZDoom for Android but I wouldn't expect a good performance of MyHouse.pk3 on the phone.DoomPlayer95 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 12, 2023 11:14 am If no, are there any modern GZDoom ports for Android?

I'd be uncertain if Delta Touch will even run on Android 5.1, but it's worth a try anyway.

I'm afraid I can't use Delta Touch, because first of all it's not possible make payments in Google Play Store in
my country, and second of all the APKs are either from an unreliable source or say they need a license from
Google Play, and Google Play is unfortunately filtered here. Any free alternatives?

There's really nothing else that I know of.
Contact the developer of Delta Touch and see if you can work something out. From what I've heard they're pretty cool.
