Full Kex Engine support?
I want to play certain games like Blood Fresh Supply and Powerslave Exhumed on the Raze source port, especially because it's based off of GZDoom, but also because when I run Blood Fresh Supply on Raze, voxels for many objects in the remake only renders as a 2D sprite even with voxels on, for ex. Shotgun shell casings are 3D in Blood Fresh Supply but it's only rendered as 2D

Raze isn't GZDoom based, but uses elements of it.Guest wrote: ↑Tue Aug 15, 2023 10:41 pm I want to play certain games like Blood Fresh Supply and Powerslave Exhumed on the Raze source port, especially because it's based off of GZDoom, but also because when I run Blood Fresh Supply on Raze, voxels for many objects in the remake only renders as a 2D sprite even with voxels on, for ex. Blood Fresh Supply is a Kex engine game. Because Blood source code isn't public, Raze support can and will have differences.

Re: Full Kex Engine support?
Raze pretty much only looks for the base game data used by the Build Engine versions of the game. Any additional data added for Blood Fresh Supply is in a different data file that Raze does not know to access (and is likely in a KEX-specific format anyway).
Powerslave Exhumed is a whole different story, as that version of the game was never Build-based to begin with, but rather, running on a console-specific engine called Slavedriver, to which KEX is a framework built on top. If you want data that works with Raze, you want Powerslave Classic.
