DrPyspy's Crate de la Stuff! [2/13/2023 - Doom 64 Archvile!]

Post by DrPyspy »

Welcome to DrPyspy's Crate de la Stuff! Here, you will be able to find a variety of resources:
  • Resources from existing projects that are ready to use
  • Resources made for no specific project or purpose in mind
  • Resources from cancelled or retooled projects
  • Rejected or replaced resources
... and more! And by more, I mean more soon! I'm always experimenting, and I have a huge backlog of resources for projects that people have asked me about, so I'll be updating this thread quite a bit!

Please remember to add a credit to me (and any others if listed, usually in an included README.txt) in a text file included with your project so others can find their way back here!

I like the mugshot. Refreshing to see one that looks actually new as not just an edited version of the original.

A new spriteset has been added to the OP: the Hellified Soldier! You can catch this fella in _sink's Eternity mod, Colander! You can check out a gameplay video here!

Looks great! You've really got a knack for recreating the old sprite style.

Amazing work! I really like the zombie. Since you've been working on Doom Delta, have you thought about recreating the Gargoyle-like enemy that was mentioned repeatedly in the Doom Bible? Might make for an interesting sprite sheet :)

Thanks! Don't worry about your language. :D

Thanks! I've been trying to get back into the groove with Doom-style monster sprites, since I've been out of touch with the style for a while.

I've been considering both of those, only time will tell however. :D

I actually started a concept for a Gargoyle-like enemy for Doom Delta a few months ago! I'm not 100% sure if I still want to use the Heretic Gargoyle as a base, but I think this has a lot of potential.

Heretic Gargoyle is fine as a base tbh.

Hellfire soldier was a pretty damn good sheet, ditto for the doom gal mugshots. Hope you finish the Gargoyle sprites one day, I'm actually digging your art style a lot and would love to potentially see more in the future.

Do you happen to still have anything from your old Doom 64-inator thread? Even if it didn't have the monsters or music it'd still be awesome to have purely for the aesthetic changes.

That Hellified Soldier is one majestic bastard and i love it. Feels like new yet vanilla at the same time. Professional work!

And by chance, would be nice if you could upload some old, unused, ancient, just trinket of sprites. Well, if you actually have some.
