Luckily, the gameplay articles I've been writing are stored on Pastebin, all of the Strife stuff I've been working on is on Dropbox, and I've been email myself some of the homework for class.

Dropbox's basic plan can go up to 18GB if you're doing a lot of referrals. $10 a month is enough for 100GB of space.

Gearing up for hurricane Sandy Petersen as its' path is projected to take it right on top of me. That would make it the second one to hit me.

Was hearing all the same things from my friends who are still in NJ. "They said expect 1 day to 2 weeks without power," "I already took some days off from work," "Did a run on the grocery store and stuff my car full." Got this whole long speech from my one friend that was basically, "Good-bye if I disappear from the face of the internet for awhile." I, on the other hand, am in upstate NY and still got a call from my mother. "Just want to make sure you're prepared!" "Mom, literally no one here is worried about this thing. It's going to be weak or dead by the time any part of it gets near here. The Halloween candy is selling more than groceries."

Just finished Dishonored. Holy crap. It cannot be overstated how great this game is.

I'd never have thought anything but Borderlands 2 would've been GOTY 2012 for me, but the two are seriously duking it out right now.

I've been keeping an eye on a few games lately, but I just can't pry myself away from Guild Wars 2 right now. Borderlands 2 I figured I would skip since I did not like the original very much at all. For Dishonored, I think I've teetered too much to consider paying full price, but it's getting enough universal praise from everybody I know that it's going to stay on the sale radar. Hopefully after I stop finding fun things to do in GW2.

My son got a "founders account" and has been playing the closed beta for a few weeks. He's had great fun with it. I'm not a big fan of mech games but it does seem pretty satisfying.

Having been a Closed Beta participant since practically the first wave several months back (thanks to dumb luck), I'm a little burned out on it, but I can also attest to it being very satisfying. Just be warned, don't play alone, or at LEAST stick to your teammates.
Legendary Founder here. Paid a good $120 for it just before things went to hell. ... On my end, not the game's.

Back then, we only had five 'Mechs (Atlas, Catapult, Dragon, Hunchback, Jenner), a basic MechLab, and were missing a lot of features like many weapons systems or even AMS. Night-vision and Thermal vision weren't in yet, and we only had one map. We've got double the 'Mechs and four maps now, and they plan to add a hell of a lot more in the coming future.
