Since the devbuilds do not have this implementation yet (they've fallen behind) - I'm going to post this build for you guys to try. Note that there is some custom code in this build but the source code has been included alongside it (runs against "gzdoom/master" as of an hour or so prior to this posting). I'm only posting this because I was posting this build for a different purpose, anyway, but it just so happens to be far enough ahead of devbuilds to include the xbrz implementation, so I figured why not. Unless you're using tonemaps, the custom code from this build will not affect you.

This build is 64-bit FMOD only - sorry. If someone wants to build a 32, be my guest.
Texture resizing and you
Re: Texture resizing and you
For some reason xBRZ is brightening up the game, which resulted in that I still prefer HQ4x.

Re: Texture resizing and you
I'd venture to guess the brightness issue is probably a bug. Can you take screenshots showing a comparison?
On that note, screenshots in general would be great
I'm not in a place I can test this and I'm interested to see what it looks like since I think xBRZ is a much better rescaler than HQ4X.

On that note, screenshots in general would be great
