Why would you be? If Coldplay isn't the most boring modern band in existence, they've got to be somewhere in the top ten. Oh god, that song "Clocks". Why did everyone like it?Enjay wrote:I read this. I have had occasion to rant about Coldplay in the past so it's nice to see I'm not alone.
The Still New What Did You Last Do Thread

I think the answer is because it is so bland, mediocre and meaningless. That's what the bulk of humanity laps up I'm afraid.

Re: The New What Did You Last Do Thread
U2 was another really popular band that I could never stand. "Bullet the blue sky" was the only song they ever did that sounded okay (and just okay, nothing more), but it wound up playing on the radio so much when I lived in Houston, I now think I can go the rest of my life without ever hearing it again. If it wasn't total flame-bait, a "shitty, over-rated bands" thread might make for a good discussion piece.
Re: The New What Did You Last Do Thread
Oddly enough, I can stand listening to both of those bands when I just feel like ambient music. Generally, that's only when I'm doing something that requires me to focus on reading/writing and when I can't be distracted by lyrics or complicated music.

Scripten I would recommend Aphex Twin's Selected Ambient Works II if you want some good background music, it's a little unusual at times but pleasant to listen to~

at least you're not 178 cm (5'10'') tall and 57.5 kilos (127 pounds) heavy. i feel like a midget at times. for god's sake, my 13 year old brother is outgrowing me. :c
oh yeah, and if you want good ambient music, try Ambient 4: Isolationism, Aurastys's Idea(l(s)) and Rising Ruins, and Chitinous Xaero's Insanity Enroaching. all very good ambient albums.
