Cursed: A Heretic mod (update 9/25/10)

Projects that have specifically been abandoned or considered "dead" get moved here, so people will quit bumping them. If your project has wound up here and it should not be, contact a moderator to have it moved back to the land of the living.

I'll be honest: After reading that gem above I lost all hope for the project. Instead of using a robust and working dialogue implementation we'll probably be subjected to yet another mod that has to do stuff in its own messy way that's inferior to what the engine has to offer.

Modders working against the engine instead of with it often doom their projects by doing so.

I don't understand where all this negativity against ZSDF is coming from... it's so easy to use, setting up talkable NPCs takes a few seconds...

Uh, how long ago was ZSDF implemented? If it was sooner than three months ago...

I agree! I tried it out and I find it very easy as well.

Man, what is the bloody problem. If that guy prefers this way, this way is the way to go.

Is it so bad that he's trying something else? Jesus.

How about we wait and see what it is, and if it's not good enough, just rewrite it in ZSDF?

How about we, like, test a small bit of dialog, like a conversation between a player and a town guard, a bit extended with choices and stuff, and then we decide if it's good or not???

How about we follow the damn link I posted which proves without ambiguity that the comment made about Strife dialogs being messy was posted before he knew about ZSDF? Why can't people bloody read and understand? And why do they have to be abngry about it? Why????????

Yeah, it's like using an ACS status bar before you know how easy it is to use SBARINFO. Not a big deal.
