I'm glad you guys are liking what you're seeing. I love the way you give me support, that's really inspiring. Also, Primeval, the revolver was originally made by DoomNukem, so if you want to use it, please credit him as well (All i did was edit the perspective a little).

Nah, i wouldn't break a mod compatibility on purpose. This is most likely some unforeseen conflict, since none of the released versions were made with snailbullet compatibility in mind. Just out of curiosity, what happens when you try UV+?

Nah, i wouldn't break a mod compatibility on purpose. This is most likely some unforeseen conflict, since none of the released versions were made with snailbullet compatibility in mind. Just out of curiosity, what happens when you try UV+?[/quote]

All that happens is that hitscan is used instead of tracers

Can't wait until the new version of this will be released!
I really like the Quake Grenade Launcher in Plus version.

EDIT: Will you be releasing the classic-looking Chainsaw? The Doom
2016 one doesn't fit well along with the rest of the Classic Weapons.

Sorry for the late response, my job is getting into all my free time these days. I'm glad you liked the screenshots. The mod will be done before Christmas, i promise! :lol:


Now, about the chainsaw: at first, i was going to use Mike12's chainsaw, since it really has the look and feel of the original. However, the chain isn't animated, and that's a big no for me, at least for now. D16 Chainsaw was used at first as a placeholder, but i kinda liked that and ended up releasing it as it is. I may edit the sprites in the future, so it has more of the original Doom feel (mainly editing the colors and some other details), but this is something for another release. My hands are already full at the moment, and i must say that i kinda underestimated the amount of work that i would have developing both a new version of the main mod and an addon at the same time, so at least for now, the chainsaw stays as it is.

Well, bummer. I had to hotfix Angled Doom Plus, since one of the new power ups wasn't spawning. The Fury Sphere replaces the Invisibility Sphere and gives lots of different bonuses for the player (faster movement speed, faster rate of fire, double damage, double armor and 100 bonus health points).

The file was hotfixed and is available now. I apologize for those who already downloaded the previous version.

Still can't come home to check this out. Are these visual enhancements optional? I feel that all of these changes are too much for me.

They are not in the current build. However that's something i'm really going to add in future updates. ;)

The only suggestions I have for the future is...

Adding a strong pistol to ADP, something that looks like a beefier Beretta M9.

And I also suggest a pulling out keycard animation on the door (ala Duke Nukem) very fast though (not slow or anything). It'd be neat. Like a Build Engine Doom kinda.

Also, a secondary attack for the chainsaw would be cool. Like a slashing attack. And adding in a quad-shotgun, plasma chaingun, rocket pistol, and BFG rocket would be cool.

I actually really like the sound of adding Build Engine style bells and whistles. Like a Duke-esque keycard motion mentioned above, or first person death animations like in Powerslave or MetaDoom, or even a quick kick function. I don't know, it could be a lot of work but I think it could be worth it

It would fit with the aesthetic IMO. Maybe even a basic gore system based on limbs, torsos, heads, and gibs similar to Blood (1997) as well as my sub-mod for Dead Marine but improved. As well as unique chainsaw death animations for all the demons. :D

Those are neat suggestions and i think they are very doable, yes! Loved the Build stuff back in the day, so it might be some nice additions. My only grip is the pistol alongside the SMG. The SMG is supposed to fill the pistol role, but having a better rate of fire in order to differ from the original weapon set. It's an automatic weapon, but not as useful as the chaingun - it is weaker and have an auto-reload that makes it function identically to Duke Nukem's pistol. It makes the weapon useful while you don't get the chaingun, much like Doom's shotgun/super shotgun relation. I really don't know how to fit another weak slot 2 weapon and make it relevant since we have the UAC Rifle (pretty much a slightly stronger pistol + scope), the SMG (weak firepower but fast enough to clean a small zombie group) and the revolver (slow but powerful hand cannon).

Could you make it so we can manually reload the SMG and Super Shotgun? And maybe add more weapons and alternate fires?
