Aside from drinking and smoking, that's my whole family.

I'm glad I don't have anyone like that in my family, my stepmom (and stepbrother, they have one of those weird Oedipus Rex relationships) is QUITE the snoody bitch though. On top of that I am starting to suspect that she is a con, guess I should expect that from an ex-IRS agent.

Has one. I am one!

OK, I'm not like that. Hell, I don't even smoke but I liked the line so I used it. :P

Heh, I showed him this and he was momentarily confused before remembering that he had put his birthday into his profile and that the board shows birthdays. He's installing his presents as we speak.

Foobar2000 does a remarkably good job with it, though you need to download the FLAC, OggEnc, and LAME tools yourself (it serves as a quite nice frontend for them though).

Currently have a massive All-PC-Rebuild hoe down. I'm replacing my desktop with a new/old mobo, and my old server with my desktop. No matter how hard you try, you will always be short of the correct screws.

hah - as a matter of fact, i've used Foobar2000 before for audio converting. that was only for MP3 files, though. never really realized the other conversion processes it could do, heh.

at any rate, thanks for the suggestions. :)

That's about where the generic-ness stops. It's a powerful yet lightweight music player.
