i'm agree with hexen 2.
too bad i can't think about another brand new class type.

Oh, there's a few class types still left to go (all-around, support, assassin, maybe trickster?), but the only problem is what characters would actually fit them.
The list of 90s FPSes is starting to run a little dry!

I think Wang is a good all-around character. He has the sword, Riot Gun, Sticky Bombs, and Fists of Fury for close range, Uzis, Rocket Launchers, Grenade Launchers, and Shurikens for mid- range, and the Railgun for long range.

I don't think Wang has a place.


Eradicator's Eleena could fit the assassin bill because
- omg a cat and cat sneakey
- starting weapon is a reflecting disc spammer
- Dart gun
- Claws
- Use of "tools" like that RC car and mines (tools in a zdoom mod are underrated since they're not always things you can just get away with redundant hitscans and projectile shooters)

Hexen 2 Assassin only has 4 weapons and 3 of them are just projectile shooters. Poor choice.

The Hexen II Assassin could pull a Parias and borrow weapons from the other three classes from Hexen II. On the plus side, we would also get Eidolon to represent the villain side when Naraka comes around, completing the Serpent Rider circle.

Why would the Assassin need heavy melee weapons and more shooting staffs? Contradicts the whole "assassin" concept.


MAYBE SAMSARA CAN HAVE JAME'S BONED FROM 007 64 because

1. sprites exists (007 Goldeneye tc is a good placeholder)
2. Timed, remote and proximity bombs (emphasis more of this, and less on aka47s)
3. slappers
4. BEST DEATH SOUND EVER TAH TUH, BA BAAAAAAAAAAAA (beter than halo's "urgh. beep beep beep boooooooooop" and haf lifes "beepbeep beep beep beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep")
5. Just as filler, throw in the bow from Turok 64 as a stealth weapon with variable power for distance

I agree, Bond is a good stealth character, don't forget silenced PP7/ Sniper. But I still think Wang fits the all-around role.

I actually like this idea much better. And what FPS is more classic than Goldeneye? ...Don't answer that, it'll cause a fight. Link, though? LoZ isn't even a FPS you silly goose.

Reasons I DON'T want Bond in there:
-temporary invincibility on hit, health pickups shouldn't work, armor as health... if you change this to how other FPS's work then why Bond and not Joanna?
-aside from the remote mines, Bond is FILLED with hitscan weapons and getting some of the more powerful weapons to work would be tricky due to the railgun additions not being in Samsara

Well, bullets in Goldeneye were not hitscans like Doom or Duke. I think if Bond were to be added, he would use Goldeneye-Style bullets. After all, Term says he wants the characters to match the original gameplay for that game.

I just checked a video and I'm failing to see the difference. They seem to land instantly after being fired. The only difference seems to be a decorative tracer.

Actually, he said he wanted to stay faithful to the source material, that is the character's home game, but if their gameplay would differ TOO much from standard Doom gameplay than it would be altered to fit. For example, Parias now runs on the armor system everyone else does, and he was given weapons from Baratus and Daedolon to flesh out his armory to fit the requisite seven weapons. Wolfenstein doesn't have armor, yet BJ wasn't forced to go without armor. I'm sure that Bond wouldn't have his temporary invulnerability on hit, or his inability to heal his health, because that would deviate too far from Doom II's gameplay.

That said, now that you've mentioned it Joanna Dark would be cool too, as they're basically the same but one has more futuristic weapons and is of course a girl, like that means anything, but for the purposes of crashing this sausage party it's important.
