Re: ZDoom Wiki Thread
Someone might want to delete these spam pages.

Also holy shit. That's a lot of spam users recently made.

Don't link to them.
And I'll let you count the number of pages that were deleted since February 16, we're just shy of a thousand now.

Thanks for the info. It would have been nice if they'd announced somewhere that it requires configuring now. Hopefully it's working properly...Quasar wrote:You'll need somebody to check LocalSettings.php on the server to make sure that the $wgTitleBlacklistSources array is properly configured

Re: ZDoom Wiki Thread
Some spammers are smart with user names like
1-.xxx.-.yyy.-.zzzz. .U.S.A., Q.u.i.c.k.e.n. T.e.c.h. S.u.p.p.o.r.t. p.h.o.n.e. n.u.m.b.e.r.
including their phone number in the user name. And those will remain forever in the deletion log. Is there no way to get rid of this stuff forever?
(Phone number was intentionally removed from this post, in case someone asks.)

Re: ZDoom Wiki Thread
With 2.8.1 out this soon.. ish, the 2.8.0 features should keep the {{new}} tag still, right?
Re: ZDoom Wiki Thread
Yeah. If there's a new release (2.9.0 or 2.8.2) in six months or more, they can disappear, but for the time being let's keep them.

Re: ZDoom Wiki Thread
2.8.1 is a pure bugfix release, it doesn't really add one new feature, so no, the list should clearly not be deleted. Even 2.8.2 won't change anything about it, since it would be based on the maint branch which will only receive those changes that are deemed important and compatible with the old code base.
Re: ZDoom Wiki Thread
This looks like it could have been useful recently. Unfortunately, there's some assembly required for making it work with Mediawiki 1.26.

Is there an easy to follow guide about how to upload images and example pwads to the WIKI?

Thanks G_S for the link
With any luck I may be able to use it.

Re: ZDoom Wiki Thread
Don't link to spammers; it's enough to say there is spam, the stuff to delete will be self-evident.
Re: ZDoom Wiki Thread
Should the explanation for IfOption blocks state that they aren't intended for mod-defined settings?
