That's a pretty douchey thing to say, and this is coming from a guy that's never once watched the show (and has no desire to, either).

I'm assuming you're a girl. It's (sic) way different for you, as Toenail is inadvertently proving.

Well, it's a bit like a grown man collecting Barbie dolls or something, quite eccentric and pretty much everyone would suspect they are gay.

Everyone but me I guess. I see no reason why someone's interests should reflect their sexual orientation (...short of maybe hitting up leather bars).

Doomhuntress: Heh, guess we have our priorities inversed. :P

CaptainToenail: I thought it was weird as well, at first. I mean, sure, it's a 99% all-female cast and they're friggin' ponies... but it's still enjoyable (the Powerpuff Girls was, right? :P). If you watched it, you just might get the appeal with the older audience, if you're an open-minded kinda guy like me.

To ease any suspicions, I'm not gonna be constantly obsessing over the show. I just like it and I'm happy that I do, because I thought for sure I wouldn't get the appeal. My next avatar will in all likelihood be distinctly unponylike, to counterbalance this travesty I've unwittingly unleashed upon you all. It'll be... Jeremy Clarkson or something. :P

...Well, this discussion went weird fast. But I probably started it.

Not to me. Many of my friends are turning into bronies, and I got the appeal of the show myself.

While kids are watching MLP and prancing about with their bronies with sunshines and rainbows that makes the Scout cry.. I prance about with Konata Izumi from Lucky Star!

Oh, MLP. I can't say I totally understand the appeal of it, really, so as I've demonstrated before from my perspective it just looks like a bunch of young people taking a TV show way too seriously.

Honestly, I'm totally willing to grant that the show is probably pretty good considering who's behind it. Just the idea of watching it (and, by association, the fact that other people watch it) is repulsive to the nth degree, where n is the closest number to infinity that man can comprehend. Plus one.

Also equally scary: "bronies" is used in an actual sentence. D:
