Re: Smooth Doom (BOSSES MILESTONE!)
I can't get this working with gzdoom, tried different versions, running zandronum instead, etc which gives me variants on this error:

Re: Smooth Doom (BOSSES MILESTONE!)
Are you absolutely sure your ZDoom/GZdoom is fully updated? GZdoom looks like it's out of date.
Re: Smooth Doom (BOSSES MILESTONE!)
Zandronum is rather out of date, and it's no surprise that it throws an error when it encounters "NoDelay," which it does not support. I suspect, along with Gifty, that your GZDoom is out of date.invictius wrote:...running zandronum instead...
Re: Smooth Doom (BOSSES MILESTONE!)
I've had a heap of issues with the 2.x svn build of gzdoom, but amazingly it works well with this. However with zdoom on my laptop (desktop zdoom runs fine):Gifty wrote:Are you absolutely sure your ZDoom/GZdoom is fully updated? GZdoom looks like it's out of date.

EDIT: That version seems to be out of date too, but I'll leave it up just in case.

Re: Smooth Doom (BOSSES MILESTONE!)
ZDoom is currently at 2.7.1, which supports the NoDelay state flag. However, I'd recommend using a recent development build, instead, as to further avoid any potential errors in the vein of this one.

You deserve a medal, sir.

I love the explosions! And the enemy variations!
And I still haven't enabled everything in the options menu!

Everything about this is good! I just wish there was a bit more alternate deaths for the monsters.
And, also anyone feeling groovy today?! >:D
Evil Dead reference is Evil Dead reference!

Re: Smooth Doom (BOSSES MILESTONE!)
Evil Dead is great. I just watched a Nightmare on Elm Street and it was awesome, just as it was when I was a kid. About to watch Halloween again. Cinemassacre's Monster Madness has got me in the mood to watch some classic horror movies. The Exorcist is next on the list.

Re: Smooth Doom (BOSSES MILESTONE!)
Evil Dead 2 is awesome, along with Army of Darkness and Aliens (1986).
Those are my favorite movies of all-time.
Coincidentally they are also favorites of id Software.

NEW UPDATE FROM COLLEGE LAND:
Ok, the rifle thing is finally settled. Instead of a skin, it's been relegated to an optional mutator as an improvement to the pistol. I have no more plans for gameplay alterations, but the pistol has bugged me forever so I did want to address that somehow. I've also added the option for black gloves on all the weapons, and some other random changes.
I think before too much longer I'm going to do something rash and solve this texture incompatibility issue; it bothers me that SmoothDoom doesn't play nice with custom textures because that cuts out a lot of wads.

Re: Smooth Doom (SEVEN-SIX-TWO MILLIMETER!)
Now if only SDK29 releases an update to coincide with this to be compatible for PSXDoom.
Also, can SDK29 please re-release that Lost Levels Mixer? It's not working with my SmoothPSXDoom and keeps up this gibberish about some PSXCast.TXT which I obviously do not have so...

Anyway awesome mod man! About to crank up the Heavy Metal and play some Doom! \m/
The Rifle looks hideous to me... so I made my own Rifle addon, I hope you like it. I'm sorry it's just this Rifle looks better than the one that you have currently.
And yes, I edited this in SLADE. It took a little bit of time, but it only took about 5 minutes for me to compile this for all of you.
I hope you enjoy this Gifty!

Re: Smooth Doom (SEVEN-SIX-TWO MILLIMETER!)
It would be cool if there were optional Brutal Doom gloves...
Re: Smooth Doom (SEVEN-SIX-TWO MILLIMETER!)
Eh. The rifle Gifty put in is optional at least and I don't mind it, I think it's taken from a beta sprite. The style you get with most rifle sprites (and what you swapped in) is much more pixel art than the digitized / CG-rendered spritework the original Doom and Doom 64 respectively had, causing a pretty sharp contrast in styles. I really don't mind the sprite used as is, personally.Stormblade wrote:Now if only SDK29 releases an update to coincide with this to be compatible for PSXDoom.

Re: Smooth Doom (SEVEN-SIX-TWO MILLIMETER!)
You could just added the rifle file into a little wad and load it with the actual SmoothDoom, there's no need to edit the mod itself.Stormblade wrote:
