If it's not ZDoom, it goes here.

Bumping this topic back up for those that didnt gave their toughts yet.

Also about the coop thingy with the teleport,i wonder why it did that, did the game glitched or something ?

Was it something in the codes that got confused when a player tried to enter a teleport when they were playing with the coop cheat trick ?

Remember: Co-op was blatantly not intended in Turok2 and is the result of tricking deathmatch into singleplayer maps, and as such, the rules of how teleporters work in multiplayer are different. There isn't a lick of co-op compliant code in Turok2's multiplayer. Weirdly, the teleporters in deathmatch were the exact same triggers as the warp gates in singleplayer, and even including changing the level (but to the exact same map) IIRC.

Wondering why something doesn't work as intended in a mode that was never supposed to support it strikes me as asking the easy questions. You already know the answer to it, it wasn't intended.

Bummer it comes out over a week after my birthday, but it does look better than the original (if a little overdosed in bloom).

Question: If I didn't really like the first Turok, would I enjoy Turok 2? I kind of regret getting the first one, even though it was with the launch discount...

The gameplay is similar, but the structure is quite different. You could say it has more common with Metroid Prime than Hexen.

Give it a chance. I personally enjoy it. It's not as simple as the first though.

If i have to compare it to Turok 1,i definitely found it a bit more confusing when it come to exploration,a lots of time i felt lost and didnt know where to go or what to do,i sometime found myself at a dead end or failed to notice something in the environment.

Turok 1 was also kinda confusing, but not as much.

Kicking this back up the list because Turok 2 is now on Steam and GOG. It's US$20, with a 25% discount for the launch week (and another 25% if you own Turok 1 on that platform!)

It's a very good re-do.

Loving it. It's really cool having the option of both soundtracks and finally having twin stick controller support.

The first 3 Turok games will always have a place in my geeky heart. I can't wait for the Turok 3 remaster (and first PC release).

Coming from a time when my PC could barely run Doom having a console that gave me the Turok games, Quake, Doom 64 and Perfect Dark was bliss... Now, if Night Dive could get the rights to port the N64 version of Quake 2, that would be a dream come true (nudge, nudge... ;)

Freaklore1, do you have any crashing problems? The game keeps crashing on me at the first checkpoint portal.

PS: What are your thoughts on the Game Boy games? I really enjoy Turok 3 and I think Evolution on the GBA is better than it's 3D big brother. :)

I dont have the game yet, never got the chance to buy both remasters, because im still kinda hesitating if i should buy them or not, because im not sure i'll be able to play with the computer i have right now,it's old and sometime when i try to play doom with certain mods, after awhile i get the black screen with the blue box in the middle,my brother said it might be because my graphic card might be slightly damaged, either i will have to get a new PC or maybe there will be chance that the game will run fine once i buy it eventually, who know.

Not sure wich version of Window im using,i think it's Vista Premium Family Version,as for my processor it's a ''Intel R Pentium R Dual CPU E2180'' and also i use NVIDIA GeForce 9400 GT,so would that be able to play both remasters of Turok 1 and 2 ?

As for the GBA games i played them and they are fairly decent game, but meh...i kinda prefer the 3d FPS ones, especially the original trilogy on N64,Evolution was nice but didnt gave me the same ambiance as the trilogy.
