The jumping-charging-brute of Shadow Warrior has become quite a good inspiration I see ! It's a very decent sprite and I'd like to use it if you ever finish that ! As for the decorate, why don't you begin coding it like the ripper in SW ? It'd be a good start.

Imagine if a thing like that is the new Spectre in Doom4, rather than a Pinky re-skin. It could climb along walls and ceilings. Looks great.

That actually looks like it could be a good base for a D3-style Pinky.

Scary!

The mod Temple of the Lizard Man 2 has some gorila-like monsters whose behavior would be fine with this kind of sprite.

Old ass "colorization" (from EGA) I did of the Catacomb Abyss status bar mug. Could be better, but at the moment I don't have much intention of redoing it. It's a bit interpretative rather than strictly true to the source, I went with the pale blue hood (or was it supposed to be white?) from Catacomb Abyss and the blond hair from Catacomb Armageddon, since they kept changing the face in each installment of the trilogy. If you want it, it's yours my friend (and you don't need any rubies.) Credit to Softdisk for Catacomb Abyss.
There aren't any more expressions. The game had far fewer frames for the mug than Doom.

Thanks. I think I learned some more secrets to doing pixel stuff since when I did that, though.

For the sake of curiosity, here's the other thing that still survives from the project before I nixed it, though it doesn't have the usage potential of the mug graphic.

(Removed, stop asking about old sprites)

In all honesty I made the troll worse than the original by not having that good a grasp on what I was doing (screwed the shading over), but I kind of like how the orc came out and the other two are ok I guess.

And before you get too excited wanting these picked back up and finished, if you're not familiar with the Catacomb A* trilogy, bear in mind that all the creatures have only front facing sprites and some of the ones that weren't based on the Catacomb 3D ones are rather shoddily animated.
