I know that. I was simply thinking of an idea of what would happen if you tried to equip a 4th demon artifact to the weapon. Otherwise it kind of doesn't make sense to keep spawning the guardian after you've already got all 3 demon artifacts on your weapon.

it does make sense, though: the guardian appears because you carry a demonic weapon, and he's there to kill you and take it back. he doesn't care if you don't need anymore artifacts for your gun, he's there as a consequence of you choosing to equip a weapon with a strong demonic presence emanating from it.

I have a cool idea. How about when you try to equip a 4th artifact, it keeps asking you "are you sure" that would always say "no" when you say "yes" in a way starting from "don't do this, it's dangerous" all the way through "I've tried everything in my power to stop you, but to hell with it".

Then, after applying the 4th artifact, the weapon would get upgraded again, but in a very powerful way. However, you now take 2x increased damage from all sources, any damage imunities you had are gone, armor is 50% less effective, your weapon drains health in addition to whatever ammo it already used (the health costs on the unmaker when using no ammo would double), but heals you if you hit enemies, and, in addition to that, an overpowered version of the guardian which has no-clip and is immune to your demonic weapon would spawn randomly during a level.

This would create a very risky playstyle that's also very rewarding (you essencialy become a glass cannon, and you also have to deal with the guardian somehow). I know this idea is very far fetched and weird, but what do you guys think?

Are you always this toxic, or did I just rub you the wrong way the first encounter we had? If this isn't harassment I don't know what is.

Um...what? As far as I'm seeing, he's just offering a suggestion. Calling him out like this, however, doesn't look good from my perspective.

His ideas are even more outlandish than mine and that's the point. He's belittling me. That is straight up mocking me.I won't let it slide.

He even took my nullified demonic weapon idea from my first post.

Even if that is the case, would you not consider it more prudent to take it up with him via private messages instead of airing your grievances in public like this? Because, speaking as a moderator here, it doesn't matter what problem you've got with another person, you'll generally not come off as "the better man" by hitting back with twice what they hit you with.

I publicly made a point that I felt harassed. I thought that sort of thing wasn't encouraged on here. This person already purposely instigated me prior and got me in trouble in the process, so if my patience is a little thin with him/her/it I apologize. I'm done discussing it if you wish. Very disgruntled right now.

I think is better just to ask Yholl if there will be new weapons, modifications on the existing ones, or need some more ideas for a start and then let things carry on ;)

now that you tell about the 4 artifact, maybe make it more simple, it will ask 3 times to be sure about it, if the answer is yes, the weapon will be bound to you, which means you must NOT drop it, if you drop it, you health will be deplete it fast and as second evil bonus, the nightmare monster will appear more frequently.. so just saying lol

Wow Doomguy, that is quite the conspiracy theory. I just felt inspired by your idea and decided to take it in a direction that sounded fun for me. And by the way, just because I don't agree with some of your opinions doesn't mean I have a personal vendetta to mock you or make fun of you. I genuinely liked your idea, believe it or not.

I added some stuff at some point.
I've never actually tested it, the boss will either become harmless or it'll ultra omega destroy your atoms for all time. Dunno which.

Oh, here's a question for you lot;
If you encountered an Armageddon boss, how difficult would you expect it to be to fight?

I'm trying to make the Abominant much harder than stuff like the Nightmare Cyberdemon, but not so hard you're completely screwed if you don't have super weapons. It's harder than you might think.
Right now it's pretty murderous indoors, but in large open spaces it's not that hard to fight. I've got ideas for some extra attacks to cut down on that, but yeah. I am interested in your thoughts.

Large AOE low level splash damage. That way it's harder in out door areas to fight, but at the same time, not too overpowered. What are it's attacks like so far?
