What's up with the temporary mediafire links? Is this the new version?
Re: DoomRL Arsenal - [1.05] [MP-B6.2]
Mmm, I hadn't thought about it, but that's actually a thing I should keep in mind. I'll see what I can put together in later versions, thanks for bringing that up!Water Hazard wrote:Any chance of more Combination weapons for this like the Marathon Rifle? Like Masterkey, M203 or even some other type of underbarrel weaponry?
Not if they don't have one, no.Mav3rick wrote:the only question i got is, there will be alt fire for the weapons??
As the version number is the same, no. The server my files were hosted on went down, and wildweasel kindly provided alternative downloads for me.KILLER2 wrote:What's up with the temporary mediafire links? Is this the new version?
also I'm buffing the Agony Elemental blame subenji and Ryan_Cordell

Removal of nano-skin armors likely requires specialized equipment, power, and personnel to operate said equipment (in the same way that you cannot realistically perform, say, invasive surgical procedures on yourself).Infirnex wrote:Could also be heavy. The addition of another armor suit could mean that it's just too cumbersome.
Still think the technician should be able to take off nano-skin armor, for flavor reasons, but its not a big deal. Can be handwaved easily by different fields of knowledge.

DRPG should have some station on the outpost where you can have someone there who can remove those kinds of armor for you. Except the Cybernetic Armor since the flavor text tells that it sticks to your body permanently and removing it would kill you. Yeesh. Okay, maybe that armor could be taken advantage of by the Cyborg class if she gets to be implemented and she could have a work around for it since well, she's already mechanical.
I've been thinking around with this mod again and came across the medical backpack from R667 and thought that it might be a good idea to have it as a special backpack. Maybe make it enhance healing items just like the Medical Armor/Power-armor and the healing effect stacks if at the same time you are wearing those armors. And on the top of that, standard backpacks heal you fully or by a good amount. Just my 2 cents.

Adding too much "healing enhancement" to the game will just end up trivializing it. Not a fan.

It works well on LegenDoom, but there were no excellent armors there and legendary enemies can be really hard from time to time. It could somewhat get very handy on Armageddon though. Considering some of the enemies there are unfair especially if they're in groups.

Legendoom doesn't change the way armor works at all though???

Yes, but compare that to DRLA's selection of armors that some even make you completely immune to some damagetypes and sometimes even come with special abilities to help you.

I suspect he's talking about the weapon effects that make health pickups worth more health.Viscra Maelstrom wrote:Legendoom doesn't change the way armor works at all though???

Those things are broken on Legendoom as well. I had runs where I felt more than immortal cuz I stacked the damn things in the pistol/shotgun/fist etc. slot.

They arent broken though since there armor works regularly, wheras here you can become immune to certain types of damage pretty flawlessly. I find myself limping for my life a lot less in DRLA than Legendoom for this reason

The BFG Infinity is an existing, findable thing.
If that can exist, so can the medic backpack.

Can't argue with that.

Medic backback needs a downside. Don't want it to be overpowered. Let's see...
250mb of "MEDIC!" screams from various games. They play constantly. Two at once, minimum.
