Yes, AoE3. Realtime shadows for EVERYTHING! Properly scaled ships! I hope this old wreck can run it... Sure can! YAY! Trains aren't scaled properly though, or so i've heard

I know where that's from, but I'm not gonna take the thread off topic. ;)

Any chance of an official "word" on KDiZD? Current Status? What's left to do? Ball park release?... (Come on, I even bothered to get the acronym right :) )

Amazing how certain people can be so worked up about the project being delayed, yet not be willing to join the project so we can release it sooner...

There's a certain novelty in playing things you haven't had your hand in creating.

That and some of us just...don't make maps. I've always found things to be less enjoyable after going into the guts of the game myself, i know its the exact opposite for a lot of people...but hey, different strokes for different folks.

Considering the majority (well, a great deal) of the people in my shoes just take what you guys make and show no support or appreciation for it, i don't feel guilty for a second.

Anyway...what enjay said

Shouldn't you be honoured by that? Honestly, this is arguably the most anticipated wad since Action Doom; and you're bitching about the fact that people want to play it.

Uh no, I'm just curious as to why none of the people who want it so badly are interested in putting some effort in to speed things up :).

In regards to what a couple of other posts have said, we need more than just mappers. For instance, anyone with experience with the DECORATE lump and/or defining new ambient sounds would be certainly be gratefully received right about now...

Well by not being a mapper i meant being completely oblivious to anything regarding changing doom in any way, shape, or form...hell im not even sure if i know how to keep it the same  .

Anyway i kind of understood your argument, but i do get the feeling that if everyone that was impatient put their skills to the test...well lets just say some people aren't as good at mapping as others..and if this is supposed to live up to the fucking-insane hype it's been putting on us, mediocre mappers might hurt more than help. Once again by mappers--i mean decorate, lump, and all that other editing shit terms i and many others know nothing about.

Honestly though i think Enjay makes a good point. Adding on to his thing, even just an update every week or two weeks would be nice, hell, even if you got NOTHING done at least have the decency to tell us that, Kronos in the Doomworld thread "Doom 3 in Doom 2" had the right idea in my opinion, listing the maps and his weapons and such, and giving a percentage to how close he was to finishing that particular part. That might be harder with maps, instead of weapons, with all the decorate, lump, et cetera et cetera crap, but just SOMETHING like that would solve a lot of problems.

Ther´re enough people on this board, who could do this decorate job!
It´s basically nothing more than copy and paste from existing decorations.Even if you don´t know anything about decorate that shouldn´t be to hard!

About the weekly update:
It might be a good idea, to give at least a little progress info from time to time, but that certainly is Tormentors decision
