It's the bloodbane, Basically the Episode 2 shotgun. I'm most likely going to start the sprite over now that I realize what is wrong with it. :O

1 hour wasted... :/

What you could do is use that frame as an alternate angle. Maybe when you pick it up, the player examines it?

It's the design. I'm not liking it's lack of "evilness". I sketched out a new one and am working on it as we speak. Should be done soon. Reusing old frames cause a new problem - animation consistency. It's very hard to keep the forms and shapes consistent when I rotate it the things, especially ellipses where there are no straight lines for reference.

Sorry, I just still think "Hellforge" (which, incidentally, could have been "Hell Forge") is nauseatingly trite compared to the more abstract old name, it's like someone renamed:
Brutal Doom -> Carnage Bloodpack
Burl Tumd -> Strike Assault
Hideous Destructor -> Tactics: Covert Ops
Samsara -> Multiverse: Arena
Deus Vult -> Doom Battles
Doom -> Guns In Hell
or if Weasel rebooted Diaz so instead of a chick named Diaz we played a clone trooper.

But if you're dead-set on the new name I ain't stopping you.

I kinda like the cold, clinical evilness it already has, but understandable. I also understand the animation issue, but I generally follow Scuba Steve's advice: if you animate it fast enough, nobody will know it looks wonky. :p

Ya I don't know if I could see that as a weapon, but how about an item like a powerup or something? I dont think you should totally scrap it!

Imo it would look cool if it was a metal gnarled staff looking weapon with 3 kinda prongs or claws coming out the end that kinda grasp the heart or go into it.

You've made so many revisions and remakes of your stuff, you could probably release a separate MOD just using that and call this its sequel. :P

Most of them, as far as I can tell. One and three+ word titles seem less common to me, just looking in assorted places (such as my own game collection, current Steam frontpage stuff, &c.)

Is this still associated with the original Demon Eclipse? If so, I too vote for "Demon Eclipse: Hellforge". I expect everyone will still think of it as "Demon Eclipse" regardless, since that's a much much more distinctive name.

Neural, that sounds pretty uncreative. :P

I would say Beyond Eclipse : Hellforge would be more fitting, kind of in the style of Hexen : Beyond Heretic.

@ Vaecrius: Lemme clarify - how many FPS games from the US has a multiple-word name? Doom, Hexen, Heretic, Rage, Quake, Fallout, Unreal, Counterstrike, etc. Most have 1 worded names because its easier to remember. The only 2 word ones I can recall are Duke Nukem (which is the name of the dude which then relates to the game), Half-Life, and Far Cry. And frankly it doesn't surprise me a large portion of your games are Japanese. And even then, the name still describes the game, and not some abstract unrelated title. Can one really argue that a title that describe a game is trite? Duke Nukem is the game of the guy, Wolfenstein describes both the setting and the location.

My problem with Demon Eclipse is that it, for one, was a temporary title I made up at the last moment that just happened to stick. It never had anything to do with the mod at all. It describes nothing of the mod, and just also happen to be the name of an ST clan :P. I was going to call it "NyX" but I'm reserving that for another mod I started which was build off of DE and SEED (as soon as I get DE/HF out of the way).

@Neural Stunner: Demon Eclipse: Hellforge makes the title even more convoluted. As I said, it implies there was a DE before this one. It's the same mod with the second episode's levels and weapons replaced with better looking versions (like what I did for Episode 1 a while ago). Also, how do I fit on a title pic? And what about the contraction to DEH - sounds like DeHackEd.
