Dunno who's your artistic friend is, but it looks darn promising and neat. It looks cool, but my only one feedback would be the lack of detail on his helmet.Clownman wrote:Friend of mine wanted to share this anonymously, mainly because he's kind of shy. Feedback would be appreciated.

That is lovely.Sonik.o.fan wrote: Doom Eternal Unmaykr WIP
Do you add some pixel details later in your preferred 2d software, or is all that rendered in Blender from start to finish?
Just tell me a little bit how your magic works

The workflow - usually, i simply draw my stuff from scratch by hand, but in this one i took a screenshot from game and then imported its shape in smaller resolution (i prefer to work in 320x168).
After finishing the work with the shape, i started to apply tons of shading, while using original Doom palette.

As for the moving part during firing animation - i simply scale up the top part of this weapon and move it a bit to the bottom to make illusion of weapon's kickback

Some additional info - my software is: GIMP 2.8.22
Keep in mind that this sheet is work in progress, so final look may differ noticeably enough.
Please, let me know if i missed something or i need to explain something else - will try to help
Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
Was playing B. DOOM64 recently, and the rifle that was used just didn't do it for me. That launched this little lark of a project.
-Reskinned basically all the weapons from the game. Gave the Pistol a bit of clean up and tried to make it look closer to a Desert Eagle.
-Shotgun got cleaned up and the front barrel clamp removed, leaving the hexagonal shape to the muzzle.
-Super Shotgun got new details.
-Rifle was edited from screenshots of a 3D model. Kind of a cross between a Mare's Leg and an AK.
-Chaingun got totally reworked, adding a body and drum magazine... and brought back the blue muzzle flash from original D64 because I always thought it was cool.
-Rocket Launcher got cleaned up and a Magazine.
-Plasmagun got some cleanup, new details and muzzle flashes.
-BFG got some new detail (mostly because I was teaching myself about brightmaps and may have gone overboard)
-Unmaker got some cleanup, new muzzle flash and it's idle animation now has a pulsing light.
Just thought I'd share and let them out into the world. Credit goes to id Software, SGT Mark, Logan McCloud and Jack Sharpe. I'll figure out how to upload the complete .zip if there's interest... as right now I don't know how.

UAC Plasma Caster for when you absolutely, positively have to liquify someone or something into a puddle of Goo, based on the Plasma Rifle from Fallout 1/2/Plasma Caster from Fallout: New Vegas.

Looks like Doom 64 and Doom 3 hybrid of sprites. I love the smooth and cool quality of each weapon! Rifle kinda looks like Half-Life MP5, but centered.Ninlhil wrote:Was playing B. DOOM64 recently, and the rifle that was used just didn't do it for me. That launched this little lark of a project.
