Wait a minute, are you talking about the weak little critters that spawn around the ammo piles and stuff, along with the cosmetic things like the cores?

Yeah, those guys. Those and the civilians both make Joke Mode a distinct gamestyle, and I actually like that sort of different gameplay.

In that case, I could talk to DBThanatos about it. I do admit I hate the little spiders and shit that spawn and get in the way. However... When you have the new weapon in your possession... The little dudes just might serve a purpose after all...

and dropping hearts and soul energies, they helps me a lot for healing.

Up until the 6.06 update i have never played this mod i have downloaded it 3 times but when it tried to play it the file was corrupted, I thought i should give this a go and try again to my surprise it actually worked so (after i read the readme on what to do)
and when i started playing i was just so amazed on what i can do it was on of the most mindblowing dooming experiences i have ever experienced (mind you i was playing this with the Cchest4.wad map set I'm Up to Map 13 if you guys were curious) and i will be playing this again in the near near future (like 15 minutes after i post this). and giving this along with a crapton of mods to my little bro for his birthday which happens in about 2 weeks(he really loves doom, turning 12 this year) :D

I have a small question about the theme packs for the mod, you know how you can toggle which enemy set you want to fight against right, well is it possible if you can do the same thing with the weapons you want to use (example Magical ,Energy ,Explosive , Projectiles ,Superweapons ect). Keep in mind it's Just an small idea.

Glad you're enjoying the game! About the themes for the weapons, that'd be a bit tricky to do, if possible at all, but we'll keep it in mind.

It's the latest (6.06.01). The link remains the same but the file changes, so that same link will always be the latest version. I updated the OP anyway to indicate that

Yeah, the director adds a whole new style of playing. No more "I killed all monsters in the map and now I have nothing to do until i find the right switch. Nope. Monsters and more monsters everywhere. It gets pretty difficult at times, but overall, it's pretty fair

Ugh, I had a huge post to detail almost everything about it so you could understand how it worked, but it's gone now. Anyway, yeah, simply put, the directors have changed much from 6.02 to 6.06 to help stifle the spawning-in-walls problem.

Drat, about the skins pack no longer working. I loved the different starting weapons you got with it. Theme-based weapon spawns, ONLY IF you can get them to work without major, serious problems, would be great to see, would bring back some of what skins pack brought in.

We have something like that based upon themes right now. At least, just with weapons.
