Or have the arrow get stuck in your cape and rip it instead. Definitely on top :P

Actually, I would say the reverse, but it depends on how the outfit is made. Some capes are designed to attach to the shoulders of an outfit, not around the neck, so you have the hole in back through which you can pull things (arrows from a quiver, which would cleanly stick out of the hole.) Alternately, quivers can hang to the side and the cape can connect tightly around the neck, leaving the open end of the quiver cleanly accessible. Wrapping the quiver around the outside would greatly restrict the movement of the cape (which may or may not be desired.)

Not that I know anything about this kind of outfit design. Just, in my eyes, having it on the inside seems more appropriate.

When I first seen the screenshots with the bow & arrow and your characters arms with plate/leather armor ripped from directly from Witchaven, I thought that Ghoul's Forest 3 is going to take place during the Dark Ages (aka Middle Ages, Medieval era) until I seen the shot with the blood lighter...can you replace the blood lighter with a torch since lighters didn't exist back during the Middle Ages?....or this game just uses random sprites ripped from other games just for the fun of it? (a Medieval horror/suspense game would be entirely original since most of the cliches I seen so in Medieval (themed) games are usually epic fantasy games/strategy battle/ or RPGs)

I also wonder if there's a simple storyline (or a synthesis) in Ghoul's Forest 3?

Here's the short story I wrote out some time ago.
You're a hunter, who has a dream of finding the biggest bounty in history. You hear of someone returning from a place called the forbidden forest, speaking words to the public of "a screaming beast". Naturally he was locked away in a mental institution, but you ponder to yourself. What if there exists such a beast? You recklessly take up the challenge and enter this so called forbidden forest.

You hunt all day and find nothing, so you finally give up and make camp. Just as you're dropping off to sleep, you hear a strange sound in the distance. You grab your bow and take aim. Your fire suddenly dies out, and it goes cold. You start to realise what you've gotten yourself into, the biggest challenge of all: Survive in the forbidden forest!
That's all you need to know. It doesn't matter when or where it was set, just use your imagination!

Edit: Heh, i've just noticed everyone who tested is changing their titles to something ghoul related 8-)

Ok well expect people to complain about us having similar avatars now :P

Now then, I know i'm gonna get asked this eventually so i'm going to answer it now:

Will there be a Ghoul 4? Well even if I get more praise than KDiZD for this (somehow), I would refuse to make a forth. Why? Because it'd be like beating a dead horse. Ghoul 1 shocked a few people and had a little bit of tension trying to keep the ghoul away from you. Ghoul 2 built on it's lore and make something quite scary and Ghoul 3 just improved it even more. What could I improve in ghoul 4? 20 Ghouls? Super computer raping graphics? I mean c'mon. It would just get stale and it wouldn't be worth all the work.

Although this is the final in this mini series of wads, it doesn't mean it's time to say goodbye to our fellow Ghouls.People seem to enjoy making their own spooky environments for you and the ghouls to have a scare in. Also, I still have to finish Ghouls versus Humans and yet another ghoul project brainstormed in my head. I should be good but I do have other things to work on (maybe i'll finish portal, or a new platformy map?) including some non-doom related things.

But don't worry, one day you'll step into the forest once more. And the ghouls will be waiting for you ;)

And I will be waiting for hotwax to get online again...

Here's the archer-Cleric attack thing i made. It looks a bit inconsistent with the original cleric because i sketched it out on paper, and being used to anime-proportions, the limbs look a bit off from the original. If there is something you want me to change about this (if its possible), please feel free to do so.

I'm terribly sorry for taking such a long time on your sprites. I've been burned out from drawing too much anime commissions and pretty much ran outta motivation to do anything doom-related. The sprites should be done by tonight.
