Unless you're making the assumption that intentionally withholding changes to the HUD code is "good coding practice", which is an opinion I don't share in the least.

Naturally they aren't exactly the same thing, and the circumstances are a good difference apart, but there's enough irony in the whole thing for me to savor it.

Essentially it is the idea that where before the more lax opinion about change was held by you and the stricter "it's better to avoid problems by not making changes" approach was held by me, we have reversed here! Exciting!*

His viewpoint appears to be efficiency in the code, not "change vs. no change".

Moving along, I wonder if Graf will make a comment one way or the other.

That is now my new desktop.

So anyway... here I was about to post this after the other Game Maker thread, sitting down totally expecting to make the splash image for this thing, but I ended up doing all other polishing-up work instead.
