Re: [WIP] - Simplistic GoreMod
Hey cool mod I also edited the file to simmer down the blood amount per bullet/hit so its not causing too much lag for my slower PC also is there a way to keep the gibbed body parts from the enemies from disappearing I like to see the remaining gib parts still lying around the enemies after all their blood goes away.. Because I noticed that both blood & gibbed parts go away after awhile. :/

Re: [WIP] - Simplistic GoreMod
Pretty good mod (played only Doom version). I think you balanced the amount of blood just fine now, so there's greatly lot of it but it's not that exaggerated.
I'd suggest two things: First, let those lying shootable corpses have NOTAUTOAIMED flag. Otherwise the autoaim may aim at corpses instead of living monsters if they are closer, which spoils gameplay. If you add the flag, players will have to use mouselook to aim down and rip zombie's corpses for ammo. Second thing, try to somehow fix the blood chunks, because if they fall onto a floor which is lift and the lift is later activated, those chunks stand on their place, flying in air. Apart from these two issues, your mod seem perfect. Good job!

Thank you very much for that info, i was looking a way to avoid that issue since i put the shootable corpsesscifista42 wrote:First, let those lying shootable corpses have NOTAUTOAIMED flag.

Yeah, that's because if you have to much elements on screen, you will have lag if you see them. I remember that in the v1.1 (or lower, i don't remember) boths gibs and bloodspot have infinite duration, that cause lag in maps with many enemies.[DMG]Heretic wrote:Because I noticed that both blood & gibbed parts go away after awhile. :/

Re: [FINISHED] - Simplistic GoreMod
Sorry for the bump, but I've got a bug report, so I figured it's okay. Gibbing the Bruiser Brothers at the end of Episode 1 in the first game breaks the scripting that lowers the wall and lets you exit. Deaths caused by bullets and buckshot, however, are okay. My guess was that you didn't put an A_BossDeath into the XDeath state of the Baron, so I went and took a look at the code, and my thoughts were confirmed. I also fixed potential issues with the Cyberdemon's death sequence as well while I was at it, because that too lacked an A_BossDeath.
Chances are anyone who knows even a little tiny bit about Decorate has already fixed it for themselves, and seeing as how I just described how to go about fixing it even those who don't probably can, but I figured I'd post it here anyways. For posterity's sake, I suppose.
