Nope. 102º is idling. 144º is unstable.

Back on topic, though, would anyone mind if they didn't have texture clipping? It looks like garbage, and WILL be fixed, but I would like some input, especially if the texture scaling is working.

This will make doing the polaris terrain millions of time easier...

Plugin systems are awesome.

Don't have much time right now... I already spent too much time setting up the latest version of DoomBuilder (I was updating from SVN copies, somehow messed up the process, I had to setup everything from scratch, set up Gez's extended configs, etc).

Finally installed the extended visual mode plugin. Haven't had much time to play with it yet but here's what I immediately noticed on a map I'm working on which has some 3-d floors and textures are loaded from a separate directory on the hard disk.

1) Sector textures in the classic mode look messed up (they appear as huge blocks)
2) My simple 3-d floor work is rendering in the visual mode. Awesome! However the side textures of the 3-d floors look weird (they appear super stretched)

It's amazing how you can visually see your 3-d floors changing as you adjust the control sectors. Does it work for sloped 3-d floors?

Haven't tried the slopes yet. Will try it as soon as I get some free time. I don't even have time to rebind my control scheme right now...

Classic mode is bugged, I am trying to determine why.
Sloped 3d Floors will be implemented when I add in complex sector based slopes. (Instead of my subsector hack)
Side textures on 3d geometry was a little bit of a hack job on my part. I will clean it up when I get time.
Side textures on 3d geometry may flicker or disappear as well, this due to them being aligned to the control sector, so if you can't see the control sector, no sides. This will also be fixed.

Managed to quickly try vertex slope and triangular sectors. They work perfect! You forgot to add the auto engine refresh though? It's unintuitive having to exit and reenter visual mode just to see the changes.

Also, a suggestion: rendering dynamic lights? Possible?

I was going to add the auto refresh, but I never got around to it :|
It was a little bit harder than I thought.

3d dynamic lights aren't going to happen unless codeimp decides to change the renderer and that could be very difficult.

Cool as it would be, let's not ask for miracles.

From what I gather from this thread, we can't edit the slopes or 3D floors directly in Visual Mode?

You can! however the 3dfloors are not selectable, but the control sector modifies them in real time. Vertex slopes are the only thing that needs a refresh, and that will be fixed soon, with a little luck.

Oh, kickass. Will we be able to edit 3D Floors directly eventually? It gets extremely annoying trying to find the right control sector sometimes. :P

I hope so, but even without that addition this plugin is gold. There is just too much win in this plugin.

I'm having the same classic mode problems that Nash had. Flats are displayed as large squares. I noticed that if I zoom out enough, those blocks are the pixels that make up the flat. So basically the flats are displayed as heavily zoomed. My 3D floors also don't seem to show, depending on the angle. Slopes are rendered awkwardly too and the textures on their walls are transparent. Looking forward to these fixes, as the promise of editing 3D floors and slopes within the visual modes would be a total godsend.

Other than classic mode being screwed, I've opened one of my maps with slopes, and here's what I get with side textures:
